Some say that we are all born with a purpose, with our destiny already decided, our fate already written. Some say that a person makes his/her own destiny, decides his/her own fate. There are some, I am sure, who like me, believe that it is a mixture of both.
There DOES exist a thing called destiny, for everyone who crosses paths with us, does so, for a reason. Maybe it is to make us a better person, maybe it is to teach us something that we didn’t know before, maybe it is to show us how the life of people can intertwine ,how their paths can intersect and how, the decisions of one person can also affect the other. No person can depend entirely on luck, for it isn’t reliable enough, but luck does play a part in every person’s life, no matter how small that part.
A person’s hard work, determination and dedication are also, factors determining a person’s success and they, I feel are more deciding factors as compared to fate and luck. As goes a Hindi saying-
Kehte hai ki haaton ki lakeero se bhagya banta hai,
Kehte hai ki haaton ki lakeero se bhaygya banta hai,
Parantu bhagya toh unka bhi hota hai junke haath nahi hote.
( I’m sorry for the bad translation, but I couldn’t find a way to translate it with the rhyme scheme and everything. This is a basic translation of the above written lines)
Translation: It is said that the lines of person’s hands decide the fate and destiny of a person,
It is said that the lines of person’s hands decide the fate and destiny of a person,
But even those people, who don’t have hands, have a destiny.

Hey Silverlady
Nikki here to review.
with future writing.
I found your essay interasting but very short. I agree with Barbilo, it needs a proper conclusion and what s/he said about the translation.
The only other thing I found that didn't seem quite right was:
There are some, I am sure, who like me, believe that it is a mixture of both.
I think it would flow better if you cut out 'I am sure' and if you put a comma after 'who'.
Other then that I thought it was well written. Good job and good luck

Hello Silverlady,
The essay was well written. It is good, I love how you added the Hindi part and just when I was getting to it, it ended.
The essay is interesting but it ended too abruptly so you can improve this by summarizing your points at the end so the reader knows it is going to end. Also, never apologize for what you have written. Your Hindi may not be accurate so instead state that it is a rough translation. Never apologize for your work.
Keep writing and continue on the path to your destiny. Loved the content.
Hey!.. thank you so much for the review. Actually, when I had written this down, it was just a paragraph. But then, i added some points while fairing it out. It isn't supposed to be an essay, but that's the closest category I could find so I put it under that. I'll keep the "not apologizing" thing in mind xD..thanks a lot!
