All evening and I was trying to decide
what was I thankful for?
My family, of course
but anything else?
If there was, I couldn’t find it.
So why did it take
until I was suspended over the toilet
halfway through inserting a lime-green tampon
listening to my father play cheesy cowboy-style music
and my mom and brother discussing shirts
for me to feel thankful?

Yeah . . . definetely the spirit! I can honestly write that I have never read a poem that had tampons in it. Good job on being unique! I really enjoyed the ending about being thankful at the strangest times. It was a good, short poem. Keep on writing!

That was um...very unique I'll admit XD very, very unique. I can't really find any errors with this. Very nice, really. Very funny. Lol I got a laugh out of it. It's certainly a weird way to feel thankful. Hope to see more from you
