Wallace Connors woke on Wednesday with his nose glued to the pages of Lolita. His furious wife buried herself in Anna Karenina in retaliation. Wallace tried to placate her by reading aloud from Pride and Prejudice, but failed. After several painful hours, the Connors finally went to the hospital to be unglued and excavated, respectively.

I don't get whats going on????
All right, I have absolutely no idea what you were going for when you wrote this. It's listed under the short stories humor category, and I can indeed tell that it is a very short story. Actually, it's more like a summary than a story, which is part of the reason why I'm having a difficult time reviewing. There's not much for me to comment on.
Well, seeing as this is a humor piece let's see how the humor holds up. I must say I'm not impressed. The situation, while humorous, isn't the laugh out loud funny kind of humorous. It's far more confusing than it is funny, actually. I mean, you don't tell us the context surrounding this situation yet you're incredibly specific about which books these people interact with. Maybe it's part of some meta famous novel joke I'm missing? Or was confusing people your intention? Either way, I'm hopelessly lost here.
Humor works best when context is established, and I don't see much of that here. All I see is a number of mildly unfortunate events that happen to be linked to famous novels. While I can get a chuckle out of the novelty (pardon the pun) of reading something this silly, I'm still not left with a joke I can remember. Then again, your intentions behind writing this are ambiguous so whether or not you have failed or succeeded at your objective I can't say. If your objective was to hopelessly confuse people, congratulations, you've done an excellent job of confusing me. Pat yourself on the back.
I'm sorry for not being much of a help. Perhaps if you were to explain your motivation behind the piece I could give better feedback, but for now I shall leave you with this.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.
