To live, to live, live in a way,
That your native hallowed ground never feels your extra substance.
To live, to live, live in a way,
That even you do not conceive your miniature significance.
And if ever you deem yourself impractical,
Or if ever neglect yourself,
Argue with your own object!
Don’t ever yield to your subject,
Speak to yourself with great patience
And prove yourself just the reverse
Owing to the great populace...

This poem has a motivating, uplifting theme to it and I enjoy that aspect
I like the lyrical repetition you've included:
Have you sung this? It sounds like a song, which is neat
This has a great message! We need more inspirational poems in the midst of our frustrating lives. Keep it up because I really thought this was good
Thank you : ) I write keyboard music too. I'm kind of a creator. Once again, thank you for the kind words...
Hi! robertsoad..
I like the flow, message and the way this poem is constructed. Because this time others just exist without living their life. In someway passive or somewhat they make themselves invisible. Thus, the line "prove yourself just the reverse" is striking. It's like saying "you're better than you think." Which can be our motivation to appreciate our life. =^)
Hi, It's interesting how Americans understand this poem, because this is the most unAmerican poem in the world hahaha Thank you for the comment though...
Aqua here to give a short review!

There's been a lack of inspirational poems around in my opinion! I'm so glad to see one pop up right in front of me! To tell you the truth, I really like the content and the message to the young people out there. I can speak from experience that this really is something you can do to better yourself. I also loved the different feel it has! It so...right in your face, if you know what I mean. Poems are are usually so infuriatingly evasive and complicated. I appreciate the honesty in this.
Can I ask you a question, though? What's with the bold? xD It's an interesting font choice, but, was it really necessary? I feel like it made no further significance that something just out of the ordinary. Well, that's not a big issue, haha!
I also feel like stanzas could have been made. From what I can perceive, you don't have a consistent rhyme scheme going on. I never use rhyme schemes myself and I think they're too much of a hassle but I think that if you start something, you should try to finish it... Start a pattern, finish it... Don't leave it hanging! Just looks strange!
PS, there's a mistake to fix here: "Or if ever neglect yourself"
It's supposed to be "Or if you ever neglect yourself"
Otherwise, awesome! Keep working!
It is bold just for the hell of it..Thank you for the comment...
Hi, I hope you don't mind if I review this, oh bye the way my name is Crystal! Nice to meet you!
Amazing poem the poem really does explain it's self, but so does the title. I am blown away by this rob but I have a little question... 'Don’t ever yield to your subject,
Speak to yourself with great patience
And prove yourself just the reverse
Owing to the great populace... ' What does this mean? It confuses me very much and I don't have time to figure it out. You may consider editing this to make it easier to understand, if not okay. Thats all! Thanks! Continue writing, it entertains and occupies everyone!

It means if you ever think you are useless, the people will prove you wrong because you are part of them...You are theirs and they are yours...
Thanks, that's a really sweet concept as well!
