Huh. Interesting first sentence. Did you get it from The Bok Thief? Not a sci-fi fan, so I'm having a hard time getting into this. Engineered by the ashes...I'm becoming a little concerned here. It's a really interesting, metaphorical concept (I'm sort of like Augustus Waters when it comes to metaphors). A sci-fi romance. I really shouldn't be writing this review right now, considering I'm not a genius on sci-fi or romance (despite my The Fault in Our Stars reference above). But I think that the idea is really unique. Great job--I like this story plot.
I have a question: how is this a chapter? It is only a description, so why post it to get reviews?
While it does sound like a good book, there are other ways of advertising it. You're posting it as a "chapter" here and I really don't see why. Perhaps this description would be okay IF you posted some of the actual book after it so we could actually have something to review and critique.
