Verse 1:
There's a billion ways to live
It's unfortunate that the world revolves around
Colored paper covered in numbers
You don't have to know what to do
Just know that this is for you
Chorus:
I'm in love with your scars
I'm in love with the art on your arms
It's red
It's bold
It demonstrates that we cannot be told
To do whatever people want us to
So many stars shine in the midnight sky
But there's no one brighter then you tonight
And this is how we live our life
Verse2:
Not sure if it's human nature
But all the people 'round here think they're bigger or smaller
Nobody is the same
Nobody is different
We are all connected
Equally important
We are all congruent
Just treat each other and yourself with respect
Chorus
Out of all the ways to live
Out of all the stars in the sky
None of them are brighter than you
Show me you're alive
Show me what you can do
Everybody's got a talent
Just gotta conquer it
And soon you'll be the one to live it
Chorus
And this is how we live our lives

the first thing is that the verses are not linked it does not seem from the lyrics that the verses belong to same song. first part seems you are describing true love. the verse 2 seems that you are describing separartion. however chorus seems you r telling that talent has no limit one should practice hard. its something about determination.then in the verse 1 you say that you r in lov with the scars.how mean it seems that u luv her scars.if u luv someone u can not luv her scars. then u say that nobody is different nobody is same. two oppsites with no binding words are in appropriate.then you add this is how we live our live. you u critisize our living style. you tried hard thats what it reflects. you have a ship of words and such lines but you did not place them judiciously . write more . make it read by a nthird person before publishing.welcome to yws!
I haven't read much lyrical poetry or songs without knowing the tune, for that matter but I don't know what to think of this piece. It seems quite scattered in different directions. I liked the premise of "A Billion Ways to Live", but really, the words did not depict the emotions that are connected to the phrase.
Especially here:
I was thrown for a loop with the inclusion of "your" and the concept of a person. At first, the second person narration made it seem as though you were speaking to the audience (which is relatable) but it seems the love for an individual was introduced which through the premise of the song.
Anyways, I am only reviewing the lyrics themselves. The music included could have a longer lasting impact on the listener than the lyrics ever could. Keep writing!
