Sanguine Fatigue

My heart is exhausted
it's blown up and bright
hungry, dry
it will not relinquish
it will not surrender
words to describe its yearning
do not exist on this planet
longing for something casual
nothing extraordinary
a trial is needed
errors are expected
but feed it, love
it's not asking for much
it's taking over my mind
a day doesn't pass
without thinking about you
a simple outline of your body
dominates my imagination
but a faint appearance is arriving
straight, messy dark hair
a smile that doesn't come out too often
but my brown eyes disrupts its slumber
don't be afraid to love me
crying isn't always wrong
i will not hurt you
i will not betray you
trust every fiber in me
for i'll give you just what you need
do not be reluctant
the moment we pass each other
is like fireworks in my empty heart
i know you want it, my body in your arms
i know what you are feeling
so why not collaborate?
you live everyday thinking about me
although you don't know me
my outline is floating in your mind as well
i'm sure of it
come out, reach out
please don't make a fuss
i'm right here
my arms are wide open
my heart is screaming
these wondrous hours that go by
will vanish if you come to me
i know you're tired of it all
sick of seeing your friends
acting as if she put the stars in the sky
you smile at their joy
but you're dying inside
you deserve someone, darling
i need you
i'm here to stay
with you.

overall, this poem wasn't meant to be anything huge. just something simple, sweet, and to the point with a few meaningful descriptions. it seriously came from within. yes, sanguine was meant as in the 4 temperaments and also the bright red color, it's other meaning. it was referring to the heart cause as i said, it's bright and all but still empty.

Hello!

Just curious about the title–were you referencing the four temperaments?

There are some decent descriptions throughout. A few trite moments, too (I mean, seriously. This is human being to human being. Declaring that one shall be forever trustworthy and will never let the loved one down is a little too optimistic about human nature/being in love. Sorry). Really, I mean the gushing, head-over-heels mentality. I won't overly complain, because you still had some quality moments in "Fatigue"...

The first several lines were probably my favorites, but I do wish to point out that the "it's" (right before yearning) shouldn't have an apostrophe, because it is possessive in nature.

That's all. See you around.
