The Speaking Skies

PreviousNext

Today the skies seem to speak,

of their beauty,

of their vastness
& of their being entity.

Just before the twilight, when the sun was about to set,
a play of colours in the sky my eyes witnesses.

Gradually the colors merged,
it looked so heavenly,
like a sight to behold,
red, orange, yellow mixed to fill the sky with the sparkling gold.

At the end the dim light of the sun spread,
it was so spectacular,
that to see it each creature on the earth was compelled.

It looked like a huge colorful carpet spread over the earth,
upon which slowly every day twinkling stars took birth.

But the thing I noticed ,
it never took to pride though such prettiness it beheld,
To all the vain earthlings the same the mighty sky seemed to tell.

Pride before a fall its rightly said
To fly as high as the sky,
lets adopt the feeling of us from my.

I also saw its vastness,
the openness to readily accept all the right things ,

the most important lesson to be learnt by us , the humanbeings

Hello there, here for a review.

I liked this poem which showed the vastness and the beauty of the skies. Many people do poem's about the beauty of it, but you seemed to concentrate on comparing it's greatness to us, humans. I like how you personificated the skies, first by the title, telling us that the skies can speak. Secondly, by the poem itself, as if the sky wanted to show us things with its colors.

There are, however, some mistakes that you should fix.

First of all, I'd like to say that poems usually are capitalized on the first word of every verse, but that is the writer's decision, so do whatever you want.

There are, though, some grammatical and spelling mistakes that aren't really the writer's decision, unless you did it on purpose.

a play of colours in the sky my eyes witnesses. "Eyes" is plural, whereas "witnesses" is used for the third person. Ex: he witnesses

Then,

& of their being entity.Being and entity are synonyms, so there is no point in writing both of them.

Pride before a fall, its rightly said

Also, "humanbeings" is spelled "human beings".

That's all I have to say for now.

Good job with this awesome poem and keep writing.

Hello again madam, I have come to bless you with my genius and my amazing handsomeness. This part of work is amazingly good, I can only imagine how much work you put into this. It's well put, it has a nice story and all the grammar is right. I really liked how you described emotions so well. Keep up the good work.

Hello there, here for a review of your poetic piece.
I personally do love reading poetries though but this one was a bit on longer side though.
The division of the poetry into paragraphs help a reader retain attention and gets glued on to the piece for more.
look forward its a good title.Liked the flow which was smooth and mostly spoke on the skies, which again is beautiful. The skies certainly speaks here through your thoughts and your writings.

Enjoyed a few paragraphs of your poem.
