This was a really thoughtful poem. i like how you to the most simple thing and blew it up so that we see it from a different point of view. No complaints and I really hope that I can read more from you in the near future!
Howdy! One thing that I noticed initially is that the way that the first segment of text ends does not quite match the flow of the rest of the poem. It begins with what sounds like an emulation of the travel of rain, but the pace is quickly broken with the line: "Lines". It is very abrupt and instantly drew me (A specific writer not reflective of everyone) out of the experience. But despite that I feel it would work to the overall flow of your poem to maybe consider adding at least an extra word or two to the line. Maybe like: "thin extending lines" or so. Also the concept of thin lines to describe rain is a little difficult to picture.
Furthermore, the rest of your poem flows pretty well, except for a few transitions that seem, again, a little abrupt. For example: it does not speak-of its journey from... very quick lines, but if you are trying to evoke the speed of the rain it fits. I say this because I notice that you use commas whenever you want to slow the pace down, and do not when your lines are following the same train of thought. Though honestly I feel the entire thing would flow much smoother if you only did that for distinguishing when the rain is still falling and when it is making contact with surfaces.
Good read.
Sorry for the way the review came out looking like a big comment. This website has changed so much since I have been here.
Wow. I really loved this. I'm not a poetry expert by any means but I do enjoy reading it. This was great and I loved the third stanza the most, which is new for me because usually it's the end that really stands out to me but I just love the way you wrote it. The ending was great too, don't get me wrong! The first part seems a little rough compared to the rest of the poem though. Something about the rhythm or something just seems slightly off. Maybe it would help if you did something as little as moving the "is" from the line "is pulled to the ground" up to "it makes no noise as it IS" instead of just it. Again though, I'm no good with poetry so you might just want to ignore me
Overall it was a great poem and I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to see more from you!
