The Cadrica - Ch.1 - Creation and Demolision

Chapter one - Creation.

Black clouds loomed over the small town of Contector, large waves from the neighbor lake named properly Contec Lake, crashed into the teeter-looking port homes. No light could be seen from the olden wooden homes in the town.

On the outskirts atop of the large cliff side, there stood a giantastic castle. Lightning flashed across the sky, striking one of the thousands of lightening rods sticking out for the walls of the castle.

Inside, below an arrangement of wires and such that fed the lightning to a table, stood a skinny, pale man named Doctor Drak Argentinstine. He stood next to a table where it looked like a bizarre creature lay, jolting every time lightening struck it. He grinded his hands together in a worried look way. “Oh please live, my girl. Please live." He whispered looking up, almost praying at the sky.

Suddenly, the lightening stopped. "NO!" he yelled throwing his hands up and falling to his knees. And as sudden as that had happened, more suddenly had the largest lightening struck the main pole. It struck the creature with such force that it jolted straight off the table and back down, due to the straps on its arms. All was quiet.

Dr. Drak rose slowly over the edge of the table, silently praying. He waited, for what seemed an eternity. The chest of the beast stood still. He let out his breathe which he had been holding with a sigh of disappointment, and looked down. When he looked back up, the chest rose. “What?!?!" he yelled, jumping backwards and grabbing his head. The chest rose a second time, and a third.

"Yes! She lives! I have created the ultimate daughter!" He yelled while he waved his arms in the air!

“It is completed then?" a deep voice muttered from the shadows. Dr.Drak lowered his arms and arched his back in fear as the voice continued to talk.

"Only one voice can make me so afraid. Its so icy and dead, it must be him." Dr. Drak thought as he stumbled back into a cabinet of potions and other liquids.

"Of course it’s me, and don’t be surprised that I know what you thought...I CAN read your mind remember you blundering....I mean....genius brilliant man?" the shadow man said, “but getting back to my question...is...she ready?"

“Well… um… I…”, the doctor stuttered, “ Yes, technically. But what would you be planning to do with her? She’s merely a prototype, I…”

“Oh don’t play games with me! I can read in your head that she’s ready for the things I wish for her to do!” yelled out the shadow man. The man, taking a step out from his hiding spot, winced at the slight light of the moon above. “Bloody light…”, he muttered to himself. As he became fully consumed and enlightened by the moonlight, Dr. Drak looked at him with admiration and the greatest of fears. He stumbled back and just caught himself on a shelving unit.

The Shadow Man stood tall, about 6 feet, and splendidly put together. He wore a formal night suit, hair stuck up by bee’s wax. Though he was superiorly thin looking, he stood with a well- defined jaw and it was predicted that the rest of his body was the same. He stood looking upon the beast girl laying on the table, looking back and forth, struggling with her first breaths of life.

“Um…Master Grift…sir…if you will. What exactly are your plans? You have supplied me with this great caslte, fed me , clothed me when I was in such a hardened time. And I greatly thank you for that. But again I must ask… why do you need her?” the doctor asked as he picked himself up, dusting off himself and trying to look somewhat-ly impressive towards the Man.

A flash of lighting struck outside of the grand castle, crashing a great oak into the ground. Inside of one of the taverns in town, a group of men were crowded around a slightly flickering candle, drinking their fair share of beer and whisky.

" Aye, tiss the crulest night this town has seen in a fore-day... is that mad man's fault I say. Ever since he stumbeld into town, things are gone wrong. graves duggen up, the lake been poisoned and tis this weather! I say we kill him and his bad omen on this place." Said one of the many drunks that had converted onto the large table nearest to the fireplace.

" Hear Hear! I agree with this bloody drunk of a man. Tis that so-called Doctor, and tis had anyone ever seen him come into town ,as it were a slpended place as it were, or tis he only comes when thy suns sett to bed, Aye!" Reply a twice as drunk man with a long whitened beard.

" You two boys tis been saying and saying all day and tis now into the nights... betcha ya'll never do anythin' about it, tis like men due, eh Mary?" one of the many, flouzy bar maids said to another, who was sitting on the lap of a fat bearded man, as she placed another round of beer and whisky on the table, " and I reckon not even a free monthly round would make any of you here men do it?"

"Hey, now you see here , ya two bindos of the shaunty house. You so be called " ladys" couldnt do anything about the man uphill as we can. But the monthly round? Does thy include beer, whiskey and perhaps a little gardening, if thy knows what thy means?" the first drunk said as he grabbed the first barmaids behind with his rough rouge hands.

"Aye it might, be including with two gardens to plow!" Said the barmaid Mary as she strode up off of the fat man, lightly grazed the drunks shoulders and then came up beside the first barmaid, arm arounded her waist and a wink left her eye.
