Can you see the lights are fading
Another sadistic innocence was lost,
And here i am to pick up the pieces
Please call me a saint.
All i wanted was an answer
But they told me to sit quiet,
Dont worry about the falling
Just sit in the corner and see,
As the world passes in slumber.
Yet we were all drowning
As i extracted lies from power,
A self proclaimed God.
He declares war on those with oil
And attacks his own country at will.
How does he sleep at night?
Or is he really just a puppet?
One things for certain
i tried to hard to justify
A reason to give life.
Im taken by visions of happiness,
Does this place really exist?
The beauty of blue in the sky,
And the breeze on the sea
Watch a tidal wave kill a thousand.
Women and children must be saved
So our soldiers are washed away.
