I Love You...

(I hate men...they make life too complicated.)

I hate you
for the names you said,
the mean things you did
and the tears I shed.

I love you,
you stole my heart,
caught me with your charm,
then broke my love for you apart.

I love you for the fire I feel,
the passion for what you do.
I hate you for the words,
I hate you for making me love you.

Hey... I really liked this poem, its simple and gives great contrast to the too raw emotions and how they can both be present at the same time. I think people could relate to this poem. However I a few verses would be great, give the reader some more of those emotions, it keeps them hooked and makes it unforgettable! Or perhaps a flash back to when love and hate suddenly collided and you feel caught between that devotion but also a deep hatred for them making you feel this way. Add a full stop at the lines you want to give impact to.... like the first I hate you I would put a full stop there. Since the title is I love you it will shock them and make them want to read on.

Well I hope I helped a little... If you ever want any help or just someone to talk to. I'm here
Love and best wishes

Bravo and yes I agree! Men can be so confusing at times, so much feeling went into this, I can tell. Only one thing I saw wrong was this;

meggwriting wrote:[i]

It seemed to be a bit choppy at the 'I hate you part' it broke the rhythm of the poem but, still overall great job!

The first draft is a trip to the amusement park. The next drafts are returning there as a safety inspector.
