Hotel of the lost

If only I could
Stop my brain from thinking,
I would stop freaking
And losing myself.
Every day,
Every day.

I'm here but
I want to be somewhere else,
It's OK.
I'll just stay

In the Hotel of the lost,
Where my best friend is a ghost.
If loneliness is what I feel
Than my best friend is not real.

As if I'm alone
In a room full of people,
Everyone cares
But no one understands.

I just want to run away
From this place of fear
Hotel of the lost
is too much real.

Like it very much. My favourite part:
''As if I'm alone
In a room full of people,
Everyone cares
But no one understands.

I just want to run away
From this place of fear
Hotel of the lost
is too much real.''

Hi there!

First off, let me say that I have been gone from YWS for awhile now, so I may be a little rusty! Otherwise, I absolutely love your poem. Great imagery, and emotional capturing.

I did spot a few grammatical mistakes, but I'm sure they're nothing you haven't already noticed ( or have already been pointed out ).

All in all, wonderful job. Keep writing!

Hi there!

Okay, so I just want to say that I am in love with this poem. No really, it's amazing. This idea is great and you did a good job portraying this. It actually gives me an idea for a short story. Yeah. Alright, onto the review now.

I like the choppy feel of this poem. Most of the time I don't like choppiness, but it works well with this. Especially since the speaker lives in this lonely house with only a ghost as a friend. I know that I would turn slightly crazy if I lived in a hotel all alone. That's what the choppiness reminds me of, a crazy person.

There's nothing I would change about this. Although I do want to point out that you typed 'frim' when you meant to say 'from' in the last stanza there. I wanted to let you know.

Keep writing!
