Rewrite these pages of your story

Chapter after chapter

Page after page

You change it; you can change it all if you want

But the plot will remain the same

I will still hold our hand

Push me away and I will pull you closer

Because this drum in my chest holds a secret that I fear has
already been told

It beats faster and faster trying to keep up with you

You can rewrite it but there are some words that can’t be
replaced

You can hide it between the lines but it won’t fade but grow
stronger with every passing second

I still believe that my feet were built to chase after you

That my eyes weren’t made well enough to be able to handle
all of your everything

Because every time I see you it’s like I am underwater

I can’t breathe, I can’t see, the waves are crushing my soul
but somewhere you are near

You can change it

But you can’t erase it

I get by by praying that you will one day see the truth in
my words

I got these words from the heavens

They fell from the sky

They came too fast for me to catch them

They knocked me off my feet

Like shooting stars that came for me

I was cornered by your smile and by then I was already gone

Because love is unclear though it feels crystal.

You cover up the thump of my heart with blankets of
meaningless words

But I know you will come to hear them over your defiance.

I know if I wait long enough you will see that I have always
been yours.

Rewrite it,

Change it,

But the truth will always be there.

Ignore it,

Argue it,

But it will find itself in your heart.

It’s been here for so long,

But it feels like yesterday,

I will wave sanity goodbye when I open my door to you.

Alright, alright. So I am so very glad that you are alive and exploring your world through poetry. I especially love that you have a pretty obvious direct address and you speak to the listener with powerful words through orders or quick assessments like "argue it" or "you can't erase it." You've got a good voice, and you just need to refine it.

Here's the absolute best part of the poem:

That my eyes weren’t made well enough to be able to handle
all of your everything

Because every time I see you it’s like I am underwater

So. So. So. Gorgeous. Every time I see you it's like I am underwater. Paired with the explanation that it means through the eyes -- that blur that water brings that air doesn't -- it's physical and a clear image and I love it, because it also speaks to the amazing amount of love, infatuation, or obsession the speaker has with the receiver.

But I need more of this and less of language I've heard before. I need a new situation to stimulate my mind into remembering your poem. I want to keep some of the language that says -- you can't change the fact that I love you, but I don't want it to be so blunt. I want you to show the unmoving-ness through images or bent language. I want less language that could be taken out of the poem and put into a journal or diary. Do you know what I mean?

I hope this review is helpful to you. Pursue scenes and quality words. Let me know if you have any questions or want to talk more about things I've mentioned here. c:
Good luck and keep writing!

This feels like a monologue, you are tripping over your own words as you speak because there's passion there and I like it like that. There is a theme throughout even though the emotion may cloud it at points. The ending is really strong but I think it needs to be a little shorter, the message gets diluted by the length. Maybe just use the template of the ending section,

Rewrite it,
Change it,
But the truth will always be there.
Ignore it,
Argue it,
But it will find itself in your heart.

If you keep with this theme all the way through, the structure can contrast with the overwhelming emotion that you feel for this person, maybe even break away from this format at the end because you just don't care anymore and what you say needs to be said. The last line needs to be stronger as well, calmer than the rest of the poem.

Hope this helps,

LMJ

You started off really well. I suggest using more interesting words to capture your reader's attention.

"Because this drum in my chest holds a secret that I fear has
already been told"

This is my favorite line in the entire poem.

"It beats faster and faster trying to keep up with you
You can rewrite it but there are some words that can’t be
replaced
You can hide it between the lines but it won’t fade but grow
stronger with every passing second
I still believe that my feet were built to chase after you

been yours."

This all feels like rambling words spilling out over a page of a teenager's diary. But from what you have to say, I can tell that you are capable of bringing this to life. This chunk of words right here can definitely be written to come across a little better.

"Rewrite it,
Change it,
But the truth will always be there.
Ignore it,
Argue it,
But it will find itself in your heart.
It’s been here for so long,
But it feels like yesterday,
I will wave sanity goodbye when I open my door to you."

I can see and understand that you wish this to be an ending, and it seems to definitely be an ending, but it needs to be re-written to capture the feeling of longing, obnoxious love, regret, insanity, passion, etc. Instead, it just seems like you ran out of energy to continue writing.
