Love takes time to find

Love takes time to understand but when you find it you will glance
And look upon the days you've said what a maze love is
Loyal is the love I see I wait to see how long it will be
Love takes time to find
But like in the maze you'll find
A heart in its on design
Love takes time to find
I look at the days I've spend wondering where I've been
Love takes time to find

Very good poem, with a very good message!

It was a bit short, but hey, you were ten! That's better than I can do now! (I'm not any good at writing poetry at all...)

I really do like the message in it, that a person should wait instead of chasing after the first person that crosses their path. :)

I like the message of persevering and not giving up and appreciating love. This poem is slightly repetitive when it's a shorter poem. I like the repeating effect, but maybe not too much in a shorter work. Keep it up! I like this.

Thank you for the great piece of advice I will surely take it into thought. You see I wrote this when I was about 10 years old so I thought I might post it on here. Knowing good and well that I should update it a little like you said put more detail and more thought into. But thank you in all for the advice.

I think this could get somewhere, it's just that it's not there yet. It felt a little bland and I think you should spice it up a bit. You should be a little more descriptive, and pour your heart into it. It felt like it was written in a few minutes, really rushed. Just slow it down, and take a little time, not necessarily to make it longer, but to make it more meaningful. Other than that, I definitely think you're on the right track to a great poem ;) Keep writing!

This is a very interesting poem. I had a few issues with line 5-- it just doesn't sound well to me. Is line 6 supposed to read "a heart in its own design"? I like the theme of the poem, but I kind of wish for more detail because I don't feel anything.

Maybe our favorite quotations say more about us than about the stories and people we're quoting.
