Sweet and simple - I like it
It does get a bit tedious, the repetition of the same structure over so many verses, so you might want to think about cutting one or two just to make it a smoother ride for the reader. Some punctuation might also help. I like the repetition of the last verse that links it to the first, though. I don't think April Fools is a real Holiday either
