In spirit and soul

*In memory of 2 of my friends who died last year after being swept away at Lulworth Cove*(November 4th 2005) -R.I.P-

The sea had cruel intentions
On that fateful day,
It must have been terrible.
I lay a hand on your shoulder...
but you're not there.
The midnight moon,
Was not there to guide you.
It must have been frightening,
I take your hand in mine ...
but your not there.
The wind and waves were brutal,
They stole your young lives,
It must have been unbearable.
I reach up to cover your eyes.
But your not there.
But when I slip into silent sleep
And picture your smiles
I embrace you as the friends you are,
And you are there, beside me,
In spirit and soul
