Slowly phasing people out of your life is strange. Forgetting people is strange. Not being sure of what thoughts are genuine is strange. Cheap wine makes it better, but only when you've ditched drinking out of a glass because of where your hand is placed would turn it warm.
Knowing people is seems like a very dangerous situation to put yourself in. When you can't talk or move the friendship anywhere other than speaking the same words you founded this shaky thing on over and over.
People will talk to you and say something and you will say something that contridicts what they said and they will agree with your response that proves them wrong.
Making yourself useful and a means to an other person is a good way into coaxing yourself into thinking you can matter to people who need something.
Goodbyes will be ceremonious enough when you don't know how to make yourself useful.

Hello,
This is a very nice poem. It's a style of poetry we don't see a lot of- more of a story. There are few stanzas, and no rhyming, but the words flow like poetry. I really like the style! The poem itself, and the message, are very good too. It is very relatable too. I don't really get the cheap wine part, but other then that I don't see any mistakes. This was a very good piece! Keep on writing!
Your reviewer,
Aqua
thank you so much!
This was weird. I fully expected this to be some overly cliché, but it really wasn't. It was weird, like I said. In a good way, I guess. I also like how you put this in the "Romantic" category since it isn't overtly romantic but that does add to the intrigue. I actually identify with what is being said about knowing people, I myself am very introverted and am not a fan of the risks involved when it comes to other people. You're totally right about being useful is a good way to coax yourself into an incorrect mindset, people should see your value even if you just stand there and say nothing! (I'm joking of course, everyone in the world thinks they are the most important person and that's why there are so many problems).
I didn't really understand the whole wine thing. As in I literally don't understand what you mean about the hand being placed turning it warm. I don't know, maybe it's because it's 3am.
I liked it!
Keep it up!
haha, thank you so much. When I was talking about the wine part I meant how your hand touches the neck part of the glass and it can turn the wine warm. I hope that helps you understand more!
