I'm going to have a tea party,
As far as the eye can see.
We'll all meet in Boston,
And have a jubilee.
The ship sails in from England's ports,
It's filled to the rafters with teas of all sorts!
The Sons of Liberty will throw tea all night,
It will be in the bay before dawn's light.
The king in England will have a fit,
When he sees our party's been a hit!

Thanks everybody!
This was really unique, I've never read a poem about the Boston Tea Party!!
This was clever, a couple comments is I don't think 'galore' really fits, I don't know something about it... I think you could find a better word. You might could say something about throwing the tea overboard if you want to be a little more specific and make it a tad longer.
"When he sees our party's been a hit!" is a bit confusing, you might want to reword it a little bit.
Other than that, this was a cute poem! Good job!

Agreed with all of them, still a great poem though
Agreed with Elinor. I want to see more of the ship. More of the tea. What kinds of tea are there? Can you make up your own? I think these details will be nice sensory images. Tell us more about the party! Is it in the dead of night - does it last all night long? Give us more to show us just how jealous the King of England will be.
Only thing I'd correct is the fact what Elinor said. It works and I like it's jovial tone. I kinda wish you ended it at 'Have a jubilee' as this sets the scene perfectly. Other than those two minor issues. I really like this. I wouldn't mind seeing some of you're other poetry. As you clearly have a blooming talent, of that I'm sure.
Hope this helps.
Hey kook!
I like this poem about the Boston Tea Party. It had a nice ring to it, and it was funny. I just had a few comments.
I don't really like this line. First, some people might not know what "Galore" means, and on top of that, it's too general. Could it be stray tea leaves or tons of steaming cups? I know what you mean, but still. Maybe 'On the boats are tons of tea-crates' would be better?
If I remember correctly, they didn't actually sail anything in the Boston Tea Party. It was a docked ship that guys from the sons of liberty hijacked.

But anyway, those are nitpicks, and they don't even come close to ruining what is really a well-done, awesome poem.
PM me if you need anything!
