Woman of the future
I am a child
I am all the things of my past
I am the eyes of my mother
I am the waves of a emerald green sea pounding the shore
I am the tiredness of my cat stretching my paws in the warm sun
I am all I see
T.v. pictures flashing by
The moon shining bright
Stars bright with light
I am all I hear
The cat scratching at the door
The sound of thunder booming away on its drum
Laughter everywhere
I am all I feel and taste
Delicate rose petals
Smooth book pages
The taste of a warm cup of coffe sweetened with sugar on a snowy day
And all I remember
Baking banana cake with grandad
Reading books with mum when I was little
The cat leaving little muddy footprints for me to clean up
I am all I've been taught
Eating fatty foods is bad
And,
Global warming is dangerous
I am all I think
Memories in the shape of butterflies fill my head
Ideas
Bursting out of their cocoons
I am all of those things
I'm like a mouse
And these things are what makes me who I am
And one day I will scurry my way out
And be free
Because
I'm the woman of the future.

kloka, I just noticed this in the corner of my screen!
*coughToldyouweregoodatwritngpoetycough*
its really good, but there are only a few minor details that need fixing.
I think this poem is very sweet, and melancoly. But, Woman ofthe future- did you mean to put the 'of' and 'the' together? Iam all the things of my past-and did you intend to put the 'I' and 'am' together?
T.v. pictures flashing by- it's just TV
The moon shining bright
Stars bright with light- this part confused me. Why did you rhyme only this part, and not the rest of the poem? If you want to rhyme this, you'll have to redo the whole poem to make it all rhyme. I'm predicted you don't want to do that, so I'd change the words a bit.
The taste of a warm cup of coffe sweetened with sugar on a snowy day- you double spaced between 'coffee' and 'sweetened', plus spelled coffee wrong
I'm the woman of the future.- Instead of underlining 'I'm' I'd put it in italics, also the period is awkward there, take it out
Besides those little problems, this poem is very nicely written, thank you
