Still beats for you

Hi! This was a poem requested by a friend of mine, I'm not sure if it's good... a review would be highly appreciated... I had to rush it due to the deadline.... Sorry if it isn't good. :thud:

"Still Beats For You"

Fervently stepping into the unknown.
Judging all that was shown,
Risking all just to gain,
This "Love" as was it's name.

That so, was done by me,
Heeding not the painful plea,
This is my story for all to see,
For it may set me free.

A simple day on springs dawn,
A man of love was to be drawn.
He smiled for all to adore,
Drawn to him, feelings bore.

His simple yet elegant smile,
Lovingly so was his romantic style,
"Doki Doki", my heart beated,
To me, he smiled and greeted.

The feelings I bore grew all too soon,
As the term called "Love" was heavens swoon,
To him alone I began to fall,
Yet, his feelings for me I wanted to call.

Unknown to me, was reality's truth,
To me not, his heart bore fruit,
Towards a girl unknown to me,
His love for her, was so ever free.

Alone, hurt, and in despair,
I cried for all; my heart to repair.
Agony and jealousy were to be,
My love for him was not to flee.

Though I agonized and was weeping,
These were all that kept me sleeping.
If only with you, I'd cry not,
Your smile with mine, was all I sought.

Next dawn on summer's storm,
My heart still shattered;deformed,
As I stared at raindrops fall,
My sorrow hid within heart's wall.

I smiled to all with this mask,
Hidden within was sorrow past.
A sacrifice I made for us two,
Because my heart still beated for only you.

Great Work! I loved it.

It made me go deep. I pictured myself feeling the same. You are incredible.

Perhaps one did not want to be loved so much as to be understood.
