I hope you guys like it
I'm still kind of learning here, so comments could help. THANK YOU VERY MUCH :D :D :D :D

___________________________________________________________________________

'twas finally here,
that Christmas cheer,
where all that waited,
were finally granted.

All but one was given,
Where His love enlightened,
Alas he was forgotten,
On His birthday; Saddened.

Jesus Christ, as was He,
the Man whom waited dearly,
for his gift of praise,
for his people to pray.

As the year ends of this twenty-ten,
Listen all to this simple text,
"Praise him all, Love him all",
For all he asks is written tall,

Once done, we celebrate the yearning end,
With displays of lights and trends,
"A Happy New Year to all",
With this I end,
My simple goodbye to this year of Twenty-Ten.

Hey!

I just wanted to address a few specific passages and overall themes from your poem.

All but one was given,
Where His love enlightened,
Alas he was forgotten,
On His birthday; Saddened.

I like the point you make in this stanza and gently remind the reader the true "reason" for the season. With all the commercialization of Christmas these days, it is quite easy to lose oneself to the true meanings.

Once done, we celebrate the yearning end,
With displays of lights and trends,
"A Happy New Year to all",
With this I end,
My simple goodbye to this year of Twenty-Ten.

I am not sure if this was your intended dominant impression, but were you trying to draw a connection between Christmas and New Years? I was just a little confused that the poem was mainly about Christmas, but was intended to be a goodbye to the year.

I like the ideas you presented in this poem and it's a great work of prose! Keep on writing, best of luck, and happy new year!
