“You’re insane!” Eric yelled to Michael as he disappeared under the probing colored dance lights.
“Let him be” I leaned against a wall in the darkest most unnoticed corner of the party “Magnus was crazy to even send us here”. The room was thick with fog and the smell of demons too disgusting for humans to detect. Loud music pounded against my rib cage and bright light flashed back and forth on the dance floor. Eric leaned against my shoulder resting his back on the wall “I don’t understand him” he said with a sigh.
“I don’t understand why you let him get to you like that” I turned to look at him, his straight black hair plastered back from his forehead with sweat, his shoulders where tense and his jaw was set. He’d always let Michael’s actions bother him.
“Because he’s my best friend, and going off to throw himself around with our enemies isn’t really safe! What if someone figures out what he is?”
“Now that” I smiled searching the dancers for Michael red head “Is just rude, I thought I was your best friend”
“I would do the same thing if it where you” he sighed again and closed his eyes.
“I’ll deal with him” I pushed away from the wall and began walking. Eric clamped his firm grip on my shoulder and I looked up at him.
“Please, don’t get yourself shot again” he smiled revealing supernaturally sharp canine teeth.
“That was a onetime experience that I don’t wish to experience again!” I pulled free and wandered tiredly into the group of wild dancers. Inside the mob the music seemed even louder and the people where throwing themselves at each other and banging into the walls and tables, one couple of dancers drunkenly fell onto the coffee table knocking over about five drinks onto the floor. “I would hate to be the sorry bugger who wakes up to this tomorrow” I whispered to myself and kept walking.
Finally I spotted Michael, his red hair flaring like a beacon. He was panting in exhaustion trying to keep pace with a pretty blond haired girl. He had his hands on her hips and her arms where around his neck as they jumped up and down doing what to anyone with any sense would appear as having an epileptic seizure in each other’s arms.
“Michael” I tapped on his shoulder and tossed my curly hair over my shoulder and puckered my lips when I finally got his attention I smoothed out my voice “Hey handsome, it’s time to party” I winked at him.
He stopped dancing and narrowed his eyes at me as if he didn’t recognize me “It’s me you, idiot” I dropped my act.
“Kit” his jaw dropped “now?” he said foggily.
The blond haired girl sighed and slapped Michael so hard I winced then sauntered of flipping her hair over her shoulder.
Michael drunkenly threw an arm over my shoulder and breathed heavily down my back. There was a rancid smell on his breath and I knew immidiently what it was “You’ve been downing a few potions have you?” I stopped and turned his around. My first thought was for the expensive weapons we had smuggled in under our clothes. I padded my hands down his back and legs then when I didn’t feel anything I turned him to face me and ran my hands down his chest like I was a cop inspecting a criminal. He smiled and rolled his eyes “You, my dear, are very fast and I’m not sure I’m that into you”
“And you my dear” I stopped the search and steadied him by his shoulders “Are an idiot!”
His brows furrowed and his mouth formed a rigid line. “Come on you…” I couldn’t finish my sentence because there was nothing to explain his stupidity but he wouldn’t care, he was drunk on potions anyways. I grabbed his arm and drug him to where Eric was still standing. Eric took one look at him and I could see the building anger. “Michael!” he shouted “You crazy son of a –” I stopped his arm just as he reached out to grab Michael.
“Please Eric, calm down” I let go of Michael letting him wobble backwards for a moment as I shook Eric out of it “I tell you, keeping care of you guys is enough to drive any one to insanity” I shouted over the pounding music.
Eric stepped forward and declared “Let’s blow this joint, we’ve spent enough time playing around”
“Alright but you carry him” I pointed to Michael.
“But you found him!” Eric protested.
“Yes, but he’s your problem”
“Fine” he threw his arm under Michael’s arm and pulled him after me.
“Wait!” I turned around “Where’s Rayla?” I realized with sudden fear we were still missing a team mate.
Eric threw his hands up in front of him “How the Hell should I know?” he sounded exasperated; I knew that only because he only ever said that when there was something else on his mind.
“Get to your station, I’ll collect her.” He nodded and was off dragging Michael with him.
I searched the entire place and wouldn’t you know it she was at the bar. I only noticed her light brown hair at first then as I got closer my pace slowed and I realized that she wasn’t alone, just as I had expected there was fairly good looking dark skinned boy holding her leaning against the bar table where there was a display of oddly colored vials.
“Rayla!” I screamed and as I did I promised myself that next time we were sent out on a demon infested party mission I would be putting my foot down. She stopped suddenly and pulled away “Kit, I am….I hadn’t expected you…….to ah……..” she was nervous and I didn’t blame her she deserved to be embarrassed.
“To you, it’s Catherine!” I boomed.
“I’m coming” she huffed and without as much as a wave good bye to the boy we ran to find Michael and Eric.
We found the boys crouched behind a tipped over chesterfield in the far corner of the kitchen for god knows why, but we were close to the back door so I couldn’t complain. We slid in beside them and paused taking a deep breath. I started unzipping the front of my black sweater to reveal rows of weapons that where strapped to my chest over my tank top, I had two precious bombs that would only create a small explosion and where meant for house parties and the rest where daggers and bullets for the guns that where strapped to Jasper’s thigh under her skirt which I doubted would be long enough to cover them. We all loaded and chose our weapons besides Michael considering he was passed out beside Eric’s leg. Once we were ready Rayla lifted Michael over her arm and I stood up with the bomb in my hand. “Ready” I called, everyone nodded in response “Set” I wrapped my sweaty fingers over the tab “Go!” I yelled and pulled the tab out and sent it zipping through the air. We had exactly five minutes to get out. Eric grabbed the other side of Michael and I was in charge of the door. I started picking the screen door but my coordination seemed to have escaped me. Eric shifted Michael’s weight on his shoulder behind me and let out a small scared noise from his lungs.
“I can’t quiet……” I sunk my fangs into my bottom lip and fumbled with the lock a bit more until finally it clicked open. “Hurry…….come one!” I pushed Michael and Rayla through the door frame into the back yard where they kept running until they were in the neighbor’s garden. It took me a long moment before I realized that Eric was still standing in the middle of the yard with a most stunned look on his face as if asking why I wasn’t coming. I had to get the door closed or else the explosion may spread, but really I was just being a perfectionist. Before I could even hope to clear enough distance by running for safety a thick smoke filled the house and the music started slowing as everyone stopped dancing yelling curses and attempting to break out the windows. Eric started running towards the door and the last thing I saw was his figure stopping with the most horrified look on his face as a warm burning sensation tingled in my body and I knew he was too late.

Hi katecull
should beI really like it. I only have a couple of nit-picks, mainly that you need to read it through as you're missing commas.
I also noticed some other problems,
I think if you just re-read it you can improve it.
