I'm spent this day has been too long,
too long for me indeed,
I'm spent, so alone, so afraid, my heart races,
as my hands begin to tremble,
you and I were so fine.
I'm spent, your heart is not mine,
nor ever truly was it, maybe, the words break my heart,
as they leave my lips, it was never even yours to give.
I'm spent, my eyes are flooding,
I cannot see, I cannot breathe,
I await your touch, with baited breath,
that as I hold, my heart only grows more cold.
I'm spent, so spent, exhausted from this ache in my chest.
I'm spent, as memories of lips so warm,
touching mine, make a resin, thick as glue,
inside my mind.
I'm spent, as I stand these cement shoes,
refusing to move, afraid of life, a life without you.
I'm spent, the aching and the pain, they are all too much.
I'm spent, here I stand alone, once again,
a rebel, a loner, or worse yet a freak,
I've come to my final truth my undeniable,
unworthiness, is all I'll have to show,
as in this life, I've spent too much.

This is an over all good song, try spacing the lines so that its not all clumped together. Oh and label the chorus. To me it sounds more like a poem then a song, but I like it! If it was going to be a song you would need to take out some of the "I'm spent"s. Keep on writing!
