You say I love you right before you leave
You act so kind then leave me to grieve
You let me stand there in disbelief
Thinking that it will give me some kind of relief
That you end our conversation, letter, relationship with
"I love you"
Why don''t you give me some time to enjoy
The love that can be received
To be happy that I am loved by you and you loved by me
But you wait to see
If we can be
In a circle of love
With all love to show
Making sure and always letting me know
That in the beginning and in the end
Your love will always transcend
But maybe you think that if you say it now
It will Make up for later
Or maybe it gives you of how
To see me later
Or maybe its because right before soldiers went to war
They grabbed their wives hugged them tight and said,
"I love you"
Or maybe because when she broke up with him he said,
"I love you" to change her mind
But what ever the reason
The size of the grieving
The words unbelieving
The eyes to be tearing
Will always be less
More time to caress
my soul
If only you let me know
How great of your love
Before you go.
P.S. I Love you

Good afternoon/evening! (Welcome to YWS!)
I really like your ideas for this! It's creative and very interesting. But.. Some of the section's lines are long, some short, which makes it hard to read in my mind or out loud. The phrases don't seem to connect well in several areas. Don't has double ''.. And is make supposed to be capitalized or no? But you did a good job!

This was really well done. I love the flow of your poem. It actually does address a lot of valid points about the words "I love you". It made me think. If you have an opinion about love being used too often... do you have an opinion about what love actually is? Or how you know when you've fallen in love with someone?
I'm really just curious about these questions. I love the last stanza especially. The only thing is that the last stanza is longer than the others. I was wondering if that was on purpose or if you just had more to say. I just think it could've been split up into a couple of smaller stanzas.
Hello c:

First off, I just want to say this was REALLY well done. You should be proud of yourself.
I love the way that it all seems to flow. I just saw a few errors.
"It will Make up for later"
Make sure you watch capitalization. I doubt you did it on purpose, but it's just something to watch for.
"If only you let me know.
How great of you love"
And here, I agree with Bloodink. I was very confused here. I even reread these two lines a few times to see if it was just my eyes fooling me. Be careful of the way you word things. What I usually do is try to reread my work at least twice to make sure things are said the way I wanted them to be said.
Overall, this is something I could reread over and over again because it is done so well. Like I said, be proud of yourself for this work. I do hope to see more fro you.
I don't know whether this was based on the book/film or if it comes from personal experience??? But either way: you've created a really emotional, heartfelt piece here. It sounds very genuine and I like that.
Although, I have to be picky. Not sure the ending lines make sense?
'If only you let me know.
How great of you love'
What?! Don't know if other people have picked up on this but it just doesn't read right with me. Sorry?
Overall : I loved it.
Thank you for liking this and informing me on the mistakes!
Hello, and welcome to YWS!!! Knight Dragon of the Knights of the Green Room here to review.
All right, this "It will Make up for later", I think the "Make" was capitalized on accident. If not, then why is it capitalized?
"Or maybe it gives you of how/To see me later" What does that mean? It feels like you left out words. "The eyes to be tearing/Will always be less/More time to caress/my soul" That first line is a little awkward, and the transition between the second and third line is really rough.
Overall I liked the content of the poem. You had a great idea, and you expressed it wonderfully. However, the seemingly random line lengths made it a little head-jerky to read. It felt like trying to read across an old, dysfunctional typewriter. That doesn't mean the content was lessened, but the focus on the content was.
Hope this helps!
