The ritual of writing presses down upon her. She cannot resist it; it pulls like a blackhole. Everyday she tries to ignore it, to study or talk, or read other people's stories. Everyday the urge gets stronger; the story, her story, is always there.
Her computer sits in the corner of the room. It's screen is open and bright, hopeful. It could be understanding, the words could come easily. But she know's that's only a hope; the dream of a non-writer who has no urge, no need. it will be so hard, the screen will burn into her eyes as she strives, and her fingers will ache in the cold. And when she is done, what will she have? Nothing but words, her words, useless. They will go no where, they will sit at home, accusing and hurtful. No one will read them.

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night(whichever one it is in your part of the world),
Hi! I'm Knight Hardy here on a mission to ensure that all works on YWS has at least two reviews. You will probably never see this but....Imma do this anyway.
First Impression: Well this one is really short. It doesn't really have a plot or anything but I suppose this was not really meant to be telling a story so that's totally fine. The flow is great as expected because you have to have a very special set of skills to make a work this short not have a proper flow. And the language that you use is almost poetic and pretty nice.
Anyway let's get right to it,
This reminds me of well me. Great description of what happens to writers when they start a story and then have to actually do something like homework. And a pretty catchy little start too.
Well this has captured the mental state of most writers once they get about halfway through their novels. Pretty neat little way to sum that up and almost dramatize the whole process in a way.
Aaaand that's it for this one.
Overall: So taking this whole thing from a purely reviewing standpoint its a pretty well written that seems to be capturing the emotion of this protagonist quite and showing us some spot of trouble that hey are in and that's done quite well. The language conjures up some pretty neat images and overall its just a nice and short little piece of writing. Good job!
As always remember to take what you think was helpful and forget the rest.

I think this piece is particualairly ironic, as I seem to be the first person to review this
.
Anyway, I like it.
Negatives:
- A bit on the short side.
- Nothing actually happens.

- Kind of like poetry, in prose form.
