lil' disclaimer: this is probably very wrongly classified. there are probably many grammar mistakes. it probably contradicts itself a lot. you may cringe because of my pretentious and dramatic nature.
but, this is just a little blurb, and it is my first try. hope you enjoy!
also the double hyphens are supposed to be dashes, i can't use a keyboard correctly (and i'm supposed to be a millennial?).
anyways! i! need! to! stop! rambling!

You told me that it was fine; you told me that my sinking ship could forever be refined by the muscles of your compact heart but I cannot feel you. I am engulfed in my own feelings of misery and distraught and the fire that you set to my skin. I am burning, burning to ashes. The captain is yelling out his heavenly hymns-- his tie ablaze and grazing his cheek. “Help me! Help me!” he sings, but only the poor can hear. They are trapped in a misty dream, the smoke clogging every chance of escape they possess.
But when may I see them again? Their misfortunes are being flown into the air. They are almost gone. The flames will never extinguish; they roar on through the bleak bunkers. The poet’s violin is red-- red and orange and gone. She cried-- she cried as she floated with it to the sky. Her clothes were ripped and falling down to the sea. My soul silently yearns for the return she will never obtain. I never loved her, though, only the melodies proclaimed from her heavenly weapon.
In my short time on this disaster of a seclusion, I have learned that your only form of defense is in the method of destruction-- the feeling of your brittle nail on my inflamed cheek, the vibrations on my ribs when you tap against them. My only places of solitude have been converted into places of sadness and uncertainty. The poet’s psalms are blown into dust. My bed is crumbled on the creaky floors. All I can hear is your raucous voice echoing through my ears, but I am already deaf.
My mother once told me that anyone can find comfort in the heart of the sea. Its wishful and endless hope can nurture you until the ocean has absorbed your tears. I felt its waves wrap me in a warm embrace and put out all of the angry flames within. It is only pure coincidence that everything I was, everything I am, everything I could’ve been, will die in the very place it was born.

Hi hwrites, Felistia here with a review for you on this wonderful day.

Theme: I really like the theme you had here. I also liked that you used a lot of metaphors, it made the piece really interesting and fun to read. I am glad that you decided to keep it relatively short, because that amount of metaphors you used would get a bit tiring to read if you made the piece much longer, but I feel like you made it just the right size.
Description: Now for the description. Wow, you really did a good job when it came to the description. You used a lot of metaphors, but not too many colours. I feel that you should include a few more hints of colour, because there is a lot of room for it and it would help make the piece even better.
Grammar and punctuation: As for grammar and punctuation, I couldn't see any problems, but then I am not an expert.
Small suggestions: I do have two small suggestions. The first would be to maybe think of categorizing this as a poem or short story instead of a novel, because I feel like it fits the other categorizes better. The last little suggestion is in the last sentence. ( will be killed in the very place it was born.) I feel like it would read better if you said ( will die in the very place it was born.) Just suggestions though.
Overall it was a great story\poem and I loved reading it. Never stop writing and I hope you have a great day\night.
Your friend Felistia.
Thank you so much for all of the critiques! I totally agree with you on all of the suggestions. I really appreciate all of the tips you gave me. Thank you
!
You forgot to capitalize the I... Besides that it's pretty cooleo. I only read the first sentance and could tell that I was going to love it!!! It is AMAZING!! Don't worry about the dashes, I do that all the time to!! I LOVE the dramatics. You really should give yourself more credit, I mean, I cried at the end of this story because the overwhelming AWSOMENESS you put into this piece was too much for me and only one book before this one made me cry. I love the discriptions and stuff. No words can say just how AWSOME this story was. Anyway, LadyRanicorn out!!!:P
AWE, thank you so much! This comment made me so happy!!! I really needed encouragement-- I didn't know if this was good or not-- but you totally lifted my spirits! Thank you, again
.
I'm envious of your writing skill because I think being descriptive is kind of hard and you just nailed it. I felt the story because of the descriptions and I like it. I'll wait for the next chapters
Thanks! I really love fluffing up everything i write to the max-- it's fun!!
I like it!
Thank you so much

Any time!:)
