Gaurdian Angel

The soft tendrils of darkness caress your face like that of a lover.
The Dark scar of your raw power looms secretly behind you,
Watching over you in dormant silence

A Guardian Angel

The cold arms engulf you tenderly as you sleep
And accompanies you in your isolation
Breathes intimate words, which are not spoken by the tongue
While stealthy, tugging your soul into the oblivion of its world

A Guardian Angel

Lends you its power, of masked self destruction while
Wiping your tears away with false, soft, slithering strokes of comforting words.
Boosts your resolve and takes you away from humanity, without you realizing.
Injects the final poison into your system
So that you are forever blind to what is right and what is wrong
With the last press of its cold lips
Takes you away

This Guardian Angel…is of a different sort.

It's nice to see a double-faceted poem, hun. Really, quite refreshing. Jumping into the heart of something is generally the easiest way, but poetry should be fluid. It rarely ever bears it's intentions like prose and shouldn't be expected to. After all, poetry is very much the heart of emotion.

You take on a very interesting tone when you jump into something multifaceted, though, which is why I'm going to give you a definite thumbs up from me.

Now, the rest of this may be a bit harsh, so please bear with me.

You have very lengthy lines that end the moment you finish them. Which seems like you've spaced out sentences rather than lines. This sort of 'listing' reaction which can understand but have very little appreciation for. As if you're trying to get out everything methodically. A couple mental check-marks. But poetry is not a shopping list, dear. We're not simply getting everything out like an essay with pretty imagery.

The second stanza is by far your best, though a little choppy.

Continuity is the biggest struggle in this piece. And the imagery. You're double-faceted, yes, but the superficiality in the topic leaves much to be desired, hun. Make this a little more original. Tie in some ideologies that don't make me think of black and purple for the entirety of the poem, because I really did see a lot of black and purple. Which are two colors that really show in most poetry by young poets.

You're definitely on your way to writing something really interesting. But there is some work. Some polish still left to sink in. I would suggest trying to take on topics with odd or weird imagery. Instead of dark scars and black rooms, why don't we turn out attention towards dusty floorboards or sharp guitar strings?

You're an interesting writer, dear. Just, write something interesting ;).

If I'm not mistaken, "self-destruction" is written with an "-".

Also The last paragraph. You use "while" in the first line while cutting off the rest of the sentence, therefore losing the intended emphasis on the meaning. You should either leave the whole sentence in the first line or move "while" to the second line. I think the latter would be a better option.

I think you should work mmore on the last paragraph.

Overall, it's a nice poem! And it's nice how you use "A Guardian Angel" in-between the paragraphs.
Also, please, midn your punctuation.

Obsessing over what you regret won't get you anywhere.
