Numb,
The only thing I feel right now,
But is it actually a feeling or a mere assumption?
This cold, still darkness that surrounds me,
Is this life?
Or is life just something we manifest into reality when we’re surrounded in nothingness.
I seem to have lost all sense in direction,
The touch,
the smell,
and the sight I vaguely remember,
Was it all real, or have I just imagined everything?
Am I insane?
I think not,
For all we know, nothing is real and we have created our own little worlds out of the subconscious thought at the end of a tunnel,
This is life,
But without the world in front of us,
We’re on the dark road to nowhere.

Oh gosh thank-you! Really, that was such a lovely comment!
What a thought! haha, this is definitely a poem that causes one (maybe those that aren't so strong in their faith) to question life, it's purpose and whether it isn't just a dream... This was very well written and I believe that you have a great deal of potential and are going to grow and improve immensely as a writer in the future

'Hahaha!' It wasn't intended to make anyone unhappy/depressed for sure! but it was intended to be deep and meaningful, so I'll just take that comment as a complement!
I couldn't decide how to split the longer sentences up into shorter ones, so I just left it as it was written, raw and heartfelt.
Thank-you for the feedback. I really do appreciate it.
This poem was written well. The emotions were shown very clearly in your choice of words, and it had a very powerful message. It made me feel a little depressed, to be honest, which is GOOD, if that's what you were going for.
I really like this and I like the short choppy thought provoking lines. However, when you get to the long lines I wish they were split up as well. They seem too long to me, or for my taste, but they don't take away from the poem so it's just my opinion. Again, I like the way you wrote this, and the imagery that I have. You describe without telling us which is excellent. Keep it up:)
This is deep. I definitely feel this way sometimes. Just a small grammatical correction: it should "sense of direction" not "sense in direction"
