Rub your eyes and stretch
and get prepared for this
You’ve awoken from your
sleep
A fantasy you’re going to
miss
Things aren’t the way you
thought
This world’s a bit crazier
than what you’ve always been taught
I’m sorry
You woke up
In this twisted wonderland
Keep walking
Or you’ll only
Get your feet stuck in the
sand
Don’t hope to
Get rescued
Just hold tight to my hand
And I’ll stay by your side
Through this twisted wonderland
Not sure what it is we
have to thank for this
The only thing I’ve learned
Is that ignorance is bliss
Is it the human condition?
Or my own messed up mind?
Don’t we all long for the
days back when it was okay being blind?
I’m sorry
You woke up
In this twisted wonderland
Keep walking
Or you’ll only
Get your feet stuck in the
sand
Don’t hope to
Get rescued
Just hold tight to my hand
And I’ll stay by your side
Through this twisted wonderland
You’ll learn to love the
art of truly seeing
Even though it kind of
hurts
It’s better than just being
Everything makes more sense
When you lose the rose
colored lens
You can love the good and
love the people even with their ugly sins
Love the lovely
imperfections
Of this twisted wonderland
I’ll show you how it's possible
If you’ll only take my hand
I’m sorry
You woke up
In this twisted wonderland
Keep walking
Or you’ll only
Get your feet stuck in the sand
Don’t hope to
Get rescued
Just hold tight to my hand
And I’ll stay by your side
Through this twisted wonderland

These are very beautiful lyrics. The stanzas have me wondering how the tune would go, though. I can really feel the passion behind the lyrics and I absolutely love the chorus.
This is absolutely amazing, you should keep up the great work. Your lyrics are incredible. I also like the meaning behind them and how people can relate to them. I can not wait to read your other works. I know they'll be amazing just like this one. You should really keep up the good work. Your also a great lyric writer.
Hello! InfiniteRectangles here with your review, as requested! I've never reviewed lyrics before so sorry if it's no good!
Wow! This was so great! It is hard to find something to say about it. I really loved (what I'm assuming to be) the bridge where you say to see though the evil and find some good in the world.
"You can love the good and love the people even with their ugly sins" I really love this line! But maybe you should change the word "ugly" to something that is a bit more descriptive. It just doesn't live up to "rose colored lens" as well, but that's just my opinion!
You'll learn to love the art of truly seeing
Even though it kind of hurts"
I think you should change "kind of" to something a bit stronger. Just because, well, it does hurt quite a bit sometimes and "kind of" is really an understatement.
That's... really all I have for you. It is a great song with a catchy chorus! Keep writing and have a wonderful day/night! ^-^
Thanks for your helpful review!
"Things aren’t the way you thought
This world’s a bit crazier that what you’ve always been taught" -these lines need to be sharpened they're a bit of a mouthful and they stand out in a negative manner.
"Don’t we all long for the days back when it was okay being blind?" - another mouthful, it just sounds awkward.
there's a nice message conveyed in this poem the only flaw is some of the lines used are just a bit awkward and out of place.
keep writing x
