Imagine yourself as you are ‘now’.

Who you were and who you are, who you will be, as relevant as the space in-between atoms, and infinitely smaller still. All the way down, further down than the deep, deep abyss of Chaos. The present lies dormant and hidden away; The truth that is written forever in an empty space between time and the evidence of life itself, and the only thing saving you from dissipating from you’re respective “location” and into the abyss was a grid that required more space, time and energy than conceivable by any sentient being.

Some may call this spiritual conquest and other may see it as despair but both can agree the purpose is finding peace.

Most who seek Nirvana, though all that do seek retribution in humanities actions, spend their lives in the pursuit of balance rather than their inborn subjective way of life and to see the world in this ‘now’, only to part from this world having no meaning in it than the one others assign them.

This is the truth, the meaning behind Chaos and Order.

Chaos feeds off control, it smothers it so those that know it cannot pass it on down the line, leaving each generation to live in their own personal bubbles of understanding from which they cannot control anything outside that bubble..

This cycle will continue. It must, without it all would fall to chaos, and the balance of those who see Nirvana and those who don’t but continue to abandon the present is forever entangled in the fabric of "All-time"

The Architects knew that when they made humanity. To set the balance from those that could understand and those that cannot. From the very first time they saw what they were, they realized something. These beings understood very little of the world around them and could belong to each other, stronger than the architect manipulation not in strength, but in will, in survival, for the Architects are not mortal. No, they are of something truly different in the universe.

“So you see, Groven, it is necessary to seek the other Architects, especially those that do not align with our order.”

The aura of discussion changed towards a personal air. Lavia loved to pick on Groven despite their notorious relationship and she waited to see how he'd react to being in her spot light.

“It is quite a different way of seeing things, though I fail to understand your understanding these days, my old friend.”

She chuckled under silent breath.

“My point being I have no control of what any of you understand. Only the Singularity can decide to show you what is true or what is real and as architect we must seek this understanding and turn it into reality.”

The white, decadent thrown room door swung open and the cloaked entourage enters it's halls to continue the conversation.

“I do enjoy your speeches, truly, Madam Lavia but I hardly believe you would call us all here for more than a mere philosophy lecture.” Bilovance, a human, had very cleverly said. He understood her words but failed to hear their meanings.

A chuckle arises from the small group of cloaks. Lavia did not agree with this laughter, hiding a precocious smile walking up the steps towards her seat.

“My intentions were well placed in sending for you all. Even you, human."

She refused to give him respect and continued on.

"As most of you know, it will be exactly 12 Solar cycles since Earth was made on the day of the eclipse. To celebrate, I offer you all banquette to return to your respective regions to provide for your people in this time of disparity .”

She sits gracefully upon her thrown.

“Take whatever supplies will be necessary for however long you might need. There is plenty of Food, Water… Women. I have arranged for transport of these goods as well. You’ll have farmers, bankers, everything you’d need to maintain a real community”

The group falls silent. Some quiet retention from her audience had been anticipated with this statement, but she soon grew afraid that not one was as promising as she’d hoped.

“You must be joking!” A younger woman in back from the tribe of nomads had spoken up for the first time since she entered Luma.

It pleased Lavia that it was a woman who had caught on first, and not the other 6 men in the room, however defiant her words had sounded. It infuriated her that the faces of those six others began to realize Lavia's true intent as well, even Groven had a look of grave and dangerous curiosity, though she doubted they were astute enough to grasp fully and were becoming easily swayed by the sound of a cooing dove.

She arrange to manage the growing situation.

“No. I do not joke when it comes to the future of our world”

“Then you must think us stupid”

The nomad was quick.

“None of you, no. Of course I am well aware that not everyone in is this room has... needs. Let’s not forget the people of this earth though. They do require more sustenance than yourselves.”

She looks upon her now captivated audience. She was good, better than the young speaker.

“It is your responsibilities as Architects and as leaders of this world to guardian the humans. If it were not for the humans we would not exist at all. Think about that. We need them as much as they need us, it’s as simple as that. If the humans were all to disappear, what would happen to the Architects then? The answer is obvious, we must provide a future for them.”

Lavia was gleaming with her own appreciation. It was as though she wanted them to feel manipulated, like her power was a force of nature that would last forever. She waited for the nameless girl to respond to this, simply a messenger for her nomad coven. Lavia hated their leader and would make the message back clear enough for rocks to understand.

“And we’re supposed to take your word for it?”

The defiant voice once more. Standing from her thrown, she loomed over the group.

“My word is the word of the Singularity!” It echoes down the snowy halls of Luma Castle, all the way into the great desert.

“It is not your words that are drenched of dishonesty, Lavia” Says the women in red, “It is your actions underneath. Not a one of the Architects has ever been as privileged as you are to speak with the Singularity on regular terms and use it for mysterious means. How can we be sure what he or even what you speak is the truth? How can we be sure this world is the truth?”

Walking over to the window, a place where warm sun was climbing into the chamber, the queenly Lavia places a hand on the ledge.

“If it is the truth you speak of, I have no doubts. The fate befalling our home land was our responsibility, I see that now. If the last cycle had been more prepared, it all could had been avoided. It will not happen again. I have been tasked with an important mission. The Great Cartographer has shown me much of what is to come if we choose to wait any longer.”

Questions filled the room in whispers like ‘Does she know what happened; how we came to be?’ and, ‘of what waiting does she speak?’

Lavia rejects all of them,

“Take my previsions, your people will die without them. Do not share them with any of the outside Tribes. They have chosen to be absent today so they will be left behind. Leave now. Return home and tell those that are ignorant to the wisdom of the Cartographers voice and mine that a hell is upon us all if we do not find the Anomaly.”

A stillness that no one suspected to occur brought the meeting to an end. The Architects took leave, wealthier than they’d ever expected to return home. Groven alone stayed when the marvelously glowing archway door closed.

“Are we not friends Groven? Have we not shared the weight of this world since the start?"

Now Groven laughed lightly.

"You speak as though I've betrayed you."

"You spoke as though you had no mouth when that little bitch started poking hole in 'our' ship."

Groven knew she was being disingenuous with her words and quickly attempted a different subject.

“Is it not unreasonable to think that the time to act has already passed? That this Anomaly has either solved itself or that its entire existence a farce?”

“My question.”

The slightest noise might had broken the fabric of space-time itself if any other words were uttered. Of course he did not fear her in that she would try to punish him for it, only if it had been so and one could not understand their relationship, it might had felt like they were tight rope walking on tissue paper.

“Lavia, you know I would follow you to the end”

“I know. That is the difference between our paths, Groven” sitting back on her throne, “You have no choice in the matter. You know as well as I that the will of the Singularity is far greater than any beings understanding of it. Even I cannot touch it, but it does speak to me. It can reach me even if I am not awake, I see it in my dreams. It shows me things that no other has ever seen before in any universe.”

“Has it shown you your past?”

She puts her hand out towards him, palm up as if to clasp his hand; he knew better what she was actually doing. She began to close her fist, slowly and patiently, savoring every moment the action and feeling involved created. The light piercing through the window began to dance. A beam, that was only visible if you’d been looking directly at it fed a sphere forming in the empty space above Lavia’s hand.

Then quickly she closed her hand around the ball of radiating energy, capturing all light in the world. A night time with no horizon shrouded the Earth, leaving only the room in which the two Architects spoke to see the light of day.

“It has shown me the Light.”

It is amazing. You catch the reader from the first section. You describe everything really well which is something i love - this makes the reader follow the story even more as they can create their own picture of how thing look and happen throughout the story.
You really have an creative mind - the world you have created is something else in a good way.
The charactors is well written and introduced, but it is hard distingishing between who is speaking and when.
Overall this is really a good beginning to your story - not too long or too short.
Keep up the good work! ;)

First of all I must praise you. Your opening paragraph is an excellent hook and your descriptive word choice left me in awe. You truly have a beautiful writing style.

You are descriptive in a way that is actually interesting to readers and you build this world, this beautiful image so easily. I really hope you can keep this up, because it seems to good to be true.

You introduced your characters and ideas flawlessly. I have no idea how long it took you to write this but it works extremely well.

The only problem I have is that during your dialogue, it's hard to tell who is speaking and how many people there are in this conversation. Maybe you should tell who is speaking more often?

Also, this line "'There is plenty of Food, Water… Women. I have arranged for transport of these goods as well, you’ll have farmers, bankers, everything you’d need to maintain community'" I don't think that food and water should be capitalized. Also, I think that "I have arranged for transport of these goods as well," should be it's own sentence.

Lastly, I'd like more description in the midst of the dialogue. It got a little boring to just have to read the words without knowing the surroundings, the reactions, and the tone of voice.

Overall, you did a magnificent job. I really love this story. Please tell me when you post the next chapter, and I will be sure to read it!

Thank you very much for your review, I take constructive criticism seriously and you have brought up a lot of good points I should take notice.

Lavia intends to capitalize on resources due to growing scarcity. There's no fore shadow to this though I want to make it clear to people the Lavia is the Antagonist of the story with the next chapter being all about the Protagonist.

I will continue to work on delivering dialogue appropriately, my intention is to force people to read things thoroughly and pay careful attention to the sub-context. I agree, needs more description during dialogue, hard to tell cause I've been editing this chapter and 10 more to follow since January, now I have to do more editing to submit my works but there will be plenty to come as well as some more surprises for this multiverse.

Thank you again for your kind words :]

Stephen
