I had a dream
The winners were losers
But they didn't care
Nothing mattered
But I would lock my doors
I would sleep in the daylight
For the fear
They were coming here
They grab the children
Stuff them in a paper sack
Threaten us with handguns
We couldn't run away
We don't want to make it bad
It used to puncture our souls
But we've grown to
Be so strong
Stand so strong
chorus:
We fight with guns
Everyone's is the same
But we think we've won
Just because of their name
We try to take away
But all they've really got is time
So they make do, they might take you
And the whole world was accustomed to this way
Your kids would walk around the streets
No shoes, no armour, because it didn't matter
If they got you, they got you
All that was left was muffled laughter
Dive behind the cement blocks
You may even fire a bullet or two
And it doesn't matter who you are
And it doesn't matter what you do
Lock the doors and hide the children
All in all, they will take you
[chorus]

Hey there.
I'm not much of a lyrics person, so here goes...
I thought this was beautiful - sad, but beautiful. It almost sounded like a song Green Day would sing, but either way, I think this has real quality.
For once, I don't have any problems with a piece of writing.
Nice work.

OMG! These are such beautiful lyrics! It makes me sad to just think about this message! I'm sure with a perfect tune, this song could be absolutely amazing. The best thing about it is I have no suggestions. It just flows really well and is... awesome.
Keep writing, because you'll go far!
