Oh little marshmallow Peeps

Oh little marshmallow Peeps,
I pass by you in the grocery store,
There is nothing I have coveted more.
I snatch the last box off the shelf
and hurry out the door.

Bathed in your golden light,
I take a sweet, sugary bite.
Marshmallow melting in my mouth with delight.

I hope you enjoyed it. Happy Valentines day everyone!

wow. it so very captures everyone's deep desire to steal all of the candy section, especially all of the good extra-sugary parts, and run away and pig out. I also totally love your rhyming scheme, it flows really very nicely.
You have a good idea of how to write poetry- i can't wait to see more!!

Wow, I think I am going to force my mom to take me to Wal-Mart to buy a box of Peeps! Those are so cute! Especially the purple ducks! I love this poem! Sorry I didn't read it yesterday I had gotten off. It's very funny and cute! Ha ha :D

HELL YES to peeps. Sorry for the all caps, but I it's the only way I can express my insane love of those candies. Have you ever tried putting them in a microwave? They expand and they're warm, and they're even more delicious!

Oh wait...I'm here to review, not admit all my loves for peeps.

It's a very sweet little piece. You kept it very positive and very sweet throughout the whole thing, and I'm always very happy to see some poetry that isn't bleak and depressing. The one thing that bugs me is the "Golden light" concept. Maybe "golden glow" would be better, just because light seems to infer something more visual, and glow is a good balance. Or maybe not, it's tough to critique a piece about one of my favorite things in the world.

I don't even know if they make Peeps in Canada anymore, or exactly when they start selling them. I think they stopped selling them here a while back  . Well, now my goal is to find the truth.

Have a lucky day!

snoink,
where I live the peeps they sell are chocolate, green and yellow for Valentines day.
The chocolate ones are little bears and the rest are chicks.
I would live to see pink glittery ones but I don't think they have them where I live yet.

Hehe, cute poem! :D But one question... marshmallow peeps? Isn't that a candy for Easter instead of St. Valentine's Day? Or did the Peeps company expand to give out heart-shaped candies around Valentine's Day?

One thing I would like to see added in (if you can!) is a description of the peeps. I don't know... they're pink and glittery and I love pink and glittery things. So it would be awesome to see them described as such! :D Still, definitely a cute poem!

Wow this is really good! As you already know I am really crappy at poetry so I can't edit anything but I can still say this is very good. And to think my awesome uncle is going to be roasting marshmeloows tonight! Now I am even more excited! :elephant:

Well! Now I'm hungry for some marshmallow peeps! XD And all this time I thought it was spelled marshmellow! :thud: I can't really find anything wrong with it, except maybe a comma too much.

Oh little marshmallow Peeps,
I pass by you in the grocery store,

I might take out the first comma, but it's fine.

PM me if you need anything!
