Summer POV

It had been six days already, meaning I leave tomorrow to the North Pole.

I looked at my suitcase. Checking over everything. Check. Check. Check.

"Finally" I mumble. I spent the last two days packing.

I zipped up my suitcase and chucked it on the floor. Flopping on the bed, I slipped out my phone and began to text my friends.

"OHMYGOSH! I still can’t believe his sending me to that hellhole for 6 months. 6 months of winter! Doesn’t he know how much i hate winter?"

I got a reply straight away. One from Beth and the other from Hayley (or hail). Beth is a rich, blonde bimbo pretty much and hail, were tight. We've known each other since we were 5 years old. Even though her parents aren’t rich as Beth’s or mine.

"I totally can’t believe it either! OMG like seriously, the is like child abuse, right? It’s so child abuse sending you there! Plus we like so going to miss you so much! I like totally hate your dad at the moment! Beth x"

"Aww babe, I’m going to miss you so much! I can’t believe you are going to the north pool tomorrow! I know winter is hard on you. But you can get through this. Keep in contact, yeah? And NO JOY RIDING! Keep safe and stay out of trouble. <3 Hail"

I laughed at Beth’s text, she’s so retarded!

I smiled at Hail's text.

"SUMMER GO TO SLEEP! YOU GOT A 10:30 FLIGHT TOMMROW" Shouted my mum. I rolled my eyes and shut my phone.

-In the morning-

I was shaken awake.

"Meeerrrrghhhwwwwaaaa piss off" i mumbled

"Now, there will be none of that language young lady," Scolded my mother.

Bleh... she’s SO uptight! "What happens if i don’t catch the flight?"

"Don't be absurd Summer; of course you’re going on the flight!" She said in her no-nonsense voice. "Now get out of bed and get dressed. You leave in half hour"

I sat up immediately in bed. "HALF HOUR!? But that's barely enough time for a shower!"

"Don’t take a shower then." My mother replied. Honestly! Is she even listening to herself?

"DONT TAKE A SHOWER?! But i got to take a shower!"

"Take a shower then" she said calmly

"YOU’RE MAKING NO SENSE!"

"Just get out of bed summer"

- After shower -

By the time i was dressed and make up was on, i had 10 minutes to eat breakfast. I sprinted down stairs to the dining table to scoff down whatever food was there.

I was had just finished my cereal, was halfway through my peach and was about to eat a fifth pop tart when my dad called. "TIME TO GO SUMMER!"

I grabbed two pop tarts to eat in the car, and then dragged my large suitcase with me towards the limo.

"COME ON SUMMER! YOU’RE PLANE LEAVES IN 15MINS." He shuts again. Well you know dad, it be awesome if you got your butt out of the car and helped. You lazy buggar. I kept on dragging, making sure at some points to be extra slowly to tick dad off more.

After 2 minutes, dad got out of the car and dragged my suitcase for me. I skipped behind him eating my pop tart.

- Later -

I was now on the 10:30 flight to Canada, which from there; I will fly with the six boys, and will be spending 6 months with them. I sigh, there probably all super ugly and old.

What’s worse, instead of my dad putting me in first class (which i usually fly in) he put me in business class. EW! Like, this is where poor people fly. I sooo hate my dad.

I switched on the screen and started my endless movie fest.

By midnight, i had landed in Canada. I had 20 minutes to spare before i had to make my way to the next flight.

I walked over to the coffee shop and but myself a cappuccino with some chop chip cookies.

"Thanks" i say as i pay.

I sip and crunch as i walk to terminal four.

The whole terminal was completely empty except for six people huddled together.

They were all as i expected, ugly and old. Except for one, he looked like my age.

His gaze flicked up to mine and he shot me a smile "Nice to see you’ve finally arrived, Ms.Mitchells"

I nearly lost myself in his eyes, but managed to regain myself.

"Summer, my name is summer not 'Ms.Mitchells' okay? And yes i have arrived, when do we leave?"

The boy checked his watch, "In 20 minutes we board the plan".

I sigh and lean myself against the wall as i gulp down the last of my coffee, chucking it in the bin with the cookie wrappers. I slide my body down until I’m sitting on the ground. I take this time to check out the hottie.

Black messy hair, pale skin, excellent jaw, and the most amazing silvery grey eyes i have ever seen in my life.  He was tall and i could see bits or muscles peeping out of his body. But it wasn’t bulging muscle waiting to explode that i usually see on the people i hang around with. It was nice to see just a bit of muscle, i could even go far enough, to say it was attractive. "Mmmmm yum" i whisper to myself. Though the guy must have super hearing because he looked up as me and gave me strange look. I felt my cheeks burn up a bit.

I was so glad we had to get on the plane straight after that, so i didn’t have to sit there being embarrassed.

I expected to be flying on a normal plane, but instead, we got this little crappy plane, which will be driven by an old guy.

"What the hell is this?" I demanded, pointing at the piece of metal, which barely looked fit for flying.

"Our plane...." said one of the elder guys slowly.

"It’s a piece of crap!" i exclaim.

"Look girly, your just going have to get over the fact that you’re not riding in a private jet to Alaska, yeah?" Said the hottie.

How dare he say that? I’m Summer Amorette Mitchell’s, i can have whatever the hell i want. "Don’t talk to me like that," i say. Flopping down on the seat, i brought out my phone and played games for the next 5 minutes.

"Y'all all buckled in? Yeah?" said the old guy wheezily.

I heard a murmur of "yeahs". I sigh and buckle myself, then resumed playing on my phone.

"All electronics off?" He asked again. There was a repeat of "yeahs". I sighed louder this time and turned my phone off. Deciding to look out the window instead. "Most crap plane flight of my life" I murmur to no one in particular.

-Somewhere in the Northpole, if you guys can name a actual place id be so thankful -

I nearly cried at how cold it is. I felt so miserable. I was silently cussing my dad with every horrid word under the sun.

We all rushed into the airport as soon as the plane landed, we had to wait 30min before we could catch a shuttle bus to the research centre we will be staying at for the next 6 months.

I walked over to one of the cheap coffee shops and bought myself a hot drink. "It’s okay summer, it was ages okay. Just don’t think about it. Just don’t think about it". I continually murmur to myself.

I crawled up in one of the many chairs, sipping my hot drink. Haunted by the memory’s emerging from that one horrible winter night. The reason to be why i hate winter so much.

It was the longest 30 minutes of my life before the shuttle bus i arrived. I sat at furthers back seat away from everybody else.

I kept sipping at my hot drink and forcing myself to think about summer, my favourite season.

"Why do you hate the winter?" The hottie asked. How did he know? I stare up at him with a blank face. "Your dad told me you hated winter, and i wanted to know why."

I looked at him for a couple more seconds, before looking at the window, not bothering to answer. I heard him sigh and give up on finding out why for tonight.

I can see where your going with the story And I can say that it needs a Little work It would be better than cursing would be complementing like crazy or finding better descriptors that can take the place of curse words Its fun looking for alternative curse words trust me I would know this. But when you talk about rich there aren't many of those left but in my school theres still the people who think there rich but there not and since they have more money than the average person They have the right to judge others for what they don't have. I'm not a fan of the rich not thats its there fault its just how there children treat most of the others in the world. not making it a stereotype.
and They all didn't need to be all old there are some younger generations that want to learn about the north pole its not on everyones kick the bucket list just so ya know but so far ITs a good story just so you know the more you write the better you get.

Thanks for your help love! :) I wanted the guys to be old except for one and I wanted the summer to have that main stream rich girl about her. I will find some alternatives for swear words though! :)

Ulaakut! ( that's probably 'hello' in Inuit, the Eskimo language)
Puck here to review chapter one
i think i really have to thank you for giving me the pleasure to observe how snobby rich teen girls communicate with one another. yet it seemed it was too, shall i say like the "mean girls".
Like the previous installment the started was good ( this one, i think better). there's a remark somewhere in the beginning when Summer remarks being friends with a friend with someone that isn't rich much, which kind of looked at one side a little mean( considering its teen fiction and the protagonists has to have something to be related too) and on the other side a genuine overlook of a young adult which some don't like to relate with, unlike me.
the reflections Summer make while getting into the car about her father, i liked that. it was genuine hatred and it seemed natural.
again there are a lot of grammar Stuff you have to take care. You're punctuations really need to be worked on.
you have to at least revise the work before you put it somewhere, cause believe it or not you are bound to have mistakes after the first draft for example here:
"I walked over to the coffee shop and but myself a cappuccino with some chop chip cookies. "--i think it will be something like " coffee shop and bought myself a cappuccino..."
unlike the prologue there was actually more than one occasions here when the humor was right on for instance when Summer's mom tells her she only has half hour to get ready and when Summer finds out she has to board something you depicted as " ittle crappy plane, which will be driven by an old guy. "
there was a development of the story which was good. a spoiled rich girl meets a hot boy and falls for him, I'd really like to see what goes on next.
this chapter excluding its flaws really have that tendency to make you go for the next chapter, the reader expecting to see Summer struggle with a new environment, the "hottie" helping her out, love cut in like a sandwich in the middle.
its really good, keep working on it.
Puck

forgive the typos, i guess i typed it in a rush

Thanks so much for your help and encorgament Puck! I'm so glad my humour is hitting the methapohrical bullseye. I've checked my work for grammer and spelling so just tell me if you seem some typos. Thanks for all your help! x

Hi there!

This is a good plot. So after reading the first few sentences, I was wondering where you were going to sneak the romance in. Nice touch to have Summer fall for that boy. I'm guessing he's her tour guide?

There are a few things I wanted to suggest to help you make this better:
1)there are some spelling and grammar mistakes in this. If you go back and read over this carefully, I'm sure you will find them. They're easily fixable and as small as a missing letter in a word.

2)I'm not a big fan of the 'later that night' and 'a few hours later' transitions. Get what I mean? It makes the story choppy and it doesn't flow as well as it could. If you only used a few of them I think that would work. But using four of them seems to be overdoing it.

3)when typing out texts use italics and indent. This way it's easy for the reader to spot it. You can even put the person's name before the text if you're worried about confusion. Just a suggestion.

Overall this was a good continuation from the prologue. You're doing a great job of keeping the plot moving. I also really like Summer's character: the snobby, rich girl who thinks she can get whatever she wants by snapping her fingers. Love it! :) I also can't wait to see what kind of people she meets at the North Pole. There's so many ways this story can go. I can't wait to read more!

Post on my wall when you have the next chapter up. :)

Keep writing!
**Noelle**

Thank you so much for your help Noelle! Tell me if you spot any more spelling errors! Summer is defitnaly quite the charcter. I really hope my story lives up to your expections! x

Reviewing again here!:D

I like this, its good. It flows on well from the first part... which i'm presuming must have been the prologue if this is chapter one?

Anyway, there are a few bits that could to be tweaked:
-When you are going from scene to scene, like "in the morning" and "after shower" and "later" "somewhere in the north pole" *also, there are not really any specific places to call this, so you could say "somewhere in the north pole" it makes it sound better in a weird way... because its showing 'summer' doesn't really care*
Well, a tip, don't use them to jump from scene to scene. I think you did this in the prologue too.
^^Instead of this, describe what is happening inbetween... or you can put " * * * " instead... This is what I do, either put * * * or I describe the scene.

-Okay, i dont know whether this was intentional or not, but when 'summer' gets the text from 'beth' it doesn't make much sense... but I think she was supposed to come across as dumb... so can you make it clear for me please?

I don't really have anymore critism, and good job for describing what the charaters look like!>> oh! And when you say that 'summer' has done her makeup, describe what she looks like, because we still don't know this. You could just describe what she is going to do with the hair (style and her hair colour), her face makeup and eye makeup (skin tone and eye colour, sort of saying how things match up) and when she is getting dressed (her build, don't be shy to say her bra size, and how tall she is)

So, everything else is really good, you made me laugh at a few points, which is good, because you are wanting to entertain us! And you has me captivated really. I love how this is coming along! Chapter two soon i hope!:D And make sure with the ratings! you need to rate this 12+ because some of the language, even though mild, needs to have that warning.

Well done! Good luck! I'm looking forward to reading more!:D

Thank you so much for your feedback on the past two chapters! It REALLY helps. I have no idea how to change the rating! :S

you could mention it at the start, such as: RATING-12
or when you are done writing it, on the same page, there should be selective boxes for the age ratings.
and i'm glad to hear i helped!:)
