Maybe.

maybe.

maybe we were made for each other.

maybe we were destined for one another.

maybe we were wished for on a lucky star

by an angel who longed to seethe twinkle of love in hearts that

never saw love last, but always felt fear first.

but then your glittering giggle graced the air

when I whispered of wanting to greet

the looming sun with our wake.

we smiled, and thought

“maybe.”

This is so sweet and adorable. I love it. And even though it is maybe it gives it possibility and hope. I love they way you describe things to "glittering giggle" or "looming sun" it gives it the elegance and melting feeling to the poem. I can't wait to read more of your pieces. And hope all works out for you and your one. This poem is absolutely adorable and sweet.
Keep up the great writing! :-)

Awww thank you!!! :) I'm so glad you got that, it was the idea! I wanted to capture all the different aspects of the beginning of a relationship; the shy unsure quality, the hope, the elation, the calm! :) Thank you so so much!

Hello there, friend.
I really enjoyed reading this poem. Your words were amazing. I love how you put it in a bolder font. I felt like it was RIGHT THERE in front of me. It captures the meaning of love, i think. I recently went through a breakup, and i can say that this actually helped me get through it. You're such a beautiful writer. My favorite line is; "By an angel who longed to see the twinkle of love." Great work, my friend. Keep writing.

Thank you so so much! Unfortunately since I edited it the bolder font is gone Dx But it's there nonetheless :D Gosh, that is such a great compliment, I'm so happy it did. Thank you so much, and I will!!!

Hello, Blocked Writer here.

First of, I would like to say that I agree with wtppowers, it does get a little jumbled. But I also did see where you said that you were going to fix that, so I'm not going to dwell on that.

On your lines
"In hearts that never saw love last and instead
feared first when feeling butterflies"

I'm not so sure I like your wording. You may want to consider this:

"In hearts that never saw love last,
But instead first love
When feeling butterflies"

Again, I know you said you were going to fix your formatting, so I'm not quite critiquing your format, but do notice the word changes I added to make it flow a little better and make it a little more readable.

Also, more to do with your wording and not formatting, you may look at:
"And when your glittering giggle graced the air
when I whispered of wanting to greet"

and consider changing it to
"And then your glittering giggle graced the air
when I whispered of wanting to greet"

The only reason I suggest this is because of the reoccurring "when" in both lines. It takes away from the flow of the poem.

Overall, I find this poem very sweet. And if you wrote this for a particular someone, then I have no doubt that they will enjoy it. I, for one, enjoyed reading it. You are very talented and I would love to read more from you.

Good luck and happy writing,
BlockedWriter21

For some reason this reminds me of TFIOS. Maybe instead of Okay or Always. I really like it!

This would be a perfect valentines present or birthday present. It is so perfect! It's amazing that you wrote this. I loved how you described the laugh as a "glittering giggle". It's seems so beautiful. The description in here is like the description in a novel, it flows and it is beautiful . Great job!

ASDFGHJKL thanks! I love John Green, I haven't read the book yet but my gf says I'm the Hazel to her Augustus <3 I actually did write it for her birthday. Our love is complicated but it's ours, and it's in that simplicity that our hearts seek refuge. :) Thank you so much for the review and the compliments :3

Hello, evfreak13! It's Mr. Powers, here to do another fun and exciting review.

Ahhh, short poetry. Quick and easy, yet still able to pack a punch. Let's see what we got here.

Well just looking at it, I see things quickly went down under for you. It's just so... messy. Perhaps you could... write it out? Maybe?

See what I did there? ;)

The first four lines, before everything goes bonkers, is good. Though I don't like "other" and "another" playing on each other like that. The "angel" line is pretty great. I think that goes to show that the sanctity of marriage is almost nonexistent these days.
And then things go wrong. The subject of that jumbled paragraphic mess is worth reading, but it's just so hard to do. If it's not meant to look like that, you should go fix that. If it is supposed to be a paragraph, add a comma between "butterflies" and "but". Also, that second "when" should be replaced with something like "after". I want you to replace that because you had written "when" a few words before that.
The way the work ends is great, with both the speaker and his/her love interest believing in their love.

In the end, this receives a favorable review from me. Have a splendid day!

Hi!! Thank you so much for the review!! It wasn't supposed to come out like that, the way it uploaded I think it was the wrong file... Anywho, I'm going to fix it right away, and take care of some of the edits you suggested! :) You have a wonderful day too!
