My whole life I have wondered

What it was to have another

How it would feel

If away we would steal

I didn't know I ever would

But when you kissed me

I understood

Wonderful weather we're having today.
This is Moonwatcher and I'm here for a review.

Nothing wrong with simple poems, but the thing about this poem is that it doesn't say very much. At least, nothing nobody has ever said before, which is a big problem with love poems nowadays. Really, anybody can say what this poem says. This is somewhat of a problem between both short poems and love poems, because it's really hard to make them your own and distinguishable. There's some inconsistent rhyme in the poem. It's a good idea to keep the rhyming throughout the poem, and if not, just remove the rhyming overall. This is a rather short and simple poem, so this is a short and simple review. Hope this helps!

This is Kaos here for a short review as there isn't much content to go off of, so let's begin.

Simple poems are okay, and I have no problem with them, but this poem doesn't really have anything to go off of. My main advice that I usually tell people writing love poems is to make the poem your own.

I felt like this poem was so generic that it could have been written by anyone. If you took your name off the poem, I wouldn't be able to distinguish it between other poems. It has no voice or style, it feels like.

In the poem there wasn't really any punctuation, which I feel would have been good for this poem and would have added to it. There also should be variety when it comes to punctuation, with commas, semicolons, periods, mix it up.

You tried to rhyme in some parts of this poem (I believe?), but it didn't really flow with the poem right or didn't really feel existent. Some of the lines tried to rhyme but felt like that they were off a beat or didn't really rhyme. What I mean by the rhyming not feeling existent, is that it kind of plays in the background and someone could probably read the poem without noticing it.

That's all I have to say about the poem, have a great day!

Hello! herbgirl here for a review!
So, to start, I'd like to say this is a very simple and sweet poem. The rhyme scheme contributes to that, and the poem has a good flow. However, while the poem is simple and sweet, I feel like there is a whole other realm that could be added to it. Mainly, I would love to see more detail! Describe why you thought you would never steal away, describe the kiss that changed your mind, and why. This may make it harder for readers to relate to the work, but it will also help pull them in more. Everybody loves simple little poems like this, so it's fine as is, but it has potential to be amazing with a little more work.
Now, I had a few other things that I wanted to point out to you. First, you have tense change withing your first two lines. It reads "My whole life I have wondered/What it was to have another". If you want the tense to be the same, the "was" in the second line should be changed to "is".
Another thing that I wanted to point out was the last two lines, which don't follow the rhyme scheme of the rest of the poem. I feel that those last two lines should be combined so that they follow that rhyme scheme, and you should insert a comma between "Me" and "I" so that you still have that pause that the line break is currently causing.
Speaking of commas, the last thing I wanted to suggest is that you add punctuation. I feel that since this poem is so simple and short, and you use proper capitilization, there is no reason not to use punctuation, and it would improve the poem by making it easier to read.
Anyways, good job! Try to add a little more detail, and if not in this work, try to incorporate it into the next one. Thanks for the read, and good luck!
