This life you've given me,
It has been the way you wanted.
My faith in you, has vanished.
My long for your knowledge;
The love you always provided;
It washed away just as my tears had.
Her words, they've opened my eyes.
Those eyes were open, though they did not see. .
Blinded by what wasn't important,
And worse, blind to your love.
The love you always provide.
Your love is what I'm learning.
Your help is all I ask for.
Oh Lord, how I ask for your forgiveness,
As I apologize for my absent mind.
I apologize for the time I let the boy excuse you from my life.
I apologize as I let her get to me; As she won.
I apologize for the family I fail to fully love.
I apologize for those little things I let take my life over.
Now, help my heart open to your love.
The love that has no questions,
The love that will always stand strong.
I know I am not worthy of this,
I know that this apology would only say to you, random words.
This child that has nothing in your presence.
And yet, you give me your love.
You gave it all up, for me.
No hesitation. No question.
Just love, from you.

PandaAiKorai; I'm so sorry you feel lost, one of the worst feelings! I'm here if you ever feel like venting! And haa; you're oh so welcome! I'm glad you liked it, and Thank You!
PoeticGlow; I'm oh so happy you liked it! And that's true, we aren't, nor never will be, perfect. Anyways, thank you both for reading!<3
This poem is very, very beautiful, from beginning, to end! It reminds me how I too turn to God when I find myself in conflict, even though my faith isn't exactly what it used to be; but hey, we have to turn to someone, no?
I particularly really enjoyed reading stanzas 3 and 4, the emotion is so powerful..."The love that has no questions..."
Absolutely beautiful, again, from start to finish! Please do keep up the good work!
This is sort of how I'm feeling right now, very lost but wanting so much to be found and forgiven. It gives me a bit of support knowing I'm not alone in this. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing, it was absolutely beautiful.
~Panda;;
Thank you for the advice!
I write these as I think them, so, I hadn't realized that. Thank you though!
I liked this, we should turn to God for all things.. But I thought I'd suggest something in the third stanza. You might want to change the first "apology" to forgivness. and the rest of them to "apologize." so that it would look like this:

Oh Lord, how I ask for your forgivness,
As I apologize for my absent mind.
I apologize for the time I let the boy excuse you from my life.
I apologize as I let her get to me; As she won.
I apologize for the family I fail to fully love.
I apologize for those little things I let take my life over.
Just a thought.. Though I really did like it
