What is love?

PreviousNext
What has love got to do
with the way I love you?
Is it love that makes life
worse like a stab with a knife?
Is it love that is really true
or is it love that makes us blue?

I know love is good and fine
but where is the blurred edge of the line
between good and bad
or happy and sad
or controlled and controller
when you don't even try to hold her.

I know love has been called a bad name
or maybe great, maybe lame
It's up to you to decide
not to just sit and hide
It's not an easy task
to put away your emotional mask

Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more!!.......Sorry, I had to..... Anyway, great poem. I love the rhyme scheme and the way you arranged the words in a way that makes the poem flow and you still understand what's going on. This is a question that is very commonly asked and pondered, and I think you did a great job explaining what you think of love. Very nice. Many people can ask the question, but not everyone can answer it quite like you.
Keep writing!

Making the simple complicated is commonplace; making the complicated simple, awesomely simple, that's creativity.
