Stuck in the Past

I'm stuck in the past
and I hope it will last
Life moves too fast
and we need to be cast
back into the world of yesterday

Most kids dont know
there were TV shows
all about Super Mario
We just need to go
but we stay here anyway

When we were think back then
there weren't things like Ben 10
We just read about supermen
or picked up paper and a pen
like we did at the end of May

We used to wear neon bright
so we lit up like beacons at night
And we used to fight
Just to face our fright
of the people who bully us everyday

I feel we are moving to fast
to appreciate and make things last
we just need to get past
the ideas of today and get cast
back to the days of yesterday
