And I wonder, and I will continue to wonder, whether or not it is best to be oblivious, ignorant and go through life in a dull happiness. Contempt but mediocre.
Or to have the highs and lows of life in an unwanted amount.
To either feel that ache in your chest, questions suffocating your brain and sorrow trampling you.
Or the opposite, after few too many drinks, you throw yourself onto your bed, completely aglow, the room spinning in the best way, and you think, simply, ' everything is the way it should be, everything is perfect'.
This question will be branded onto me until I die.

Heya, Chrissy here for a review!
Well, this is kinda short. You might want to kind something to add onto it. Like what happened that made him want to drink? What is the sorrow that trampling him? Did something go wrong? Somebody he loved die?
Also, who is he? How old is he? You don't describe him at all. Maybe you didn't mean to, but I would like to know a little bit about him. Also, little bits of description, like putting a empty bottle in his hand would add to the overall image.
I think you meant Content. Contempt is a kind of hatred, disgust. I don't think that's what you meant.
What is the name supposed to mean. I don't get it.
Well, all I can really say is you managed to put an entire story in just a few sentences. That takes talent.
Keep writing!
Nice job, cupofink!
. What an interesting story! I like the underlying concept behind the story, and how you conveyed in a few sentences one of the most important questions about our existence - what to do to best exist. Should be we blissfully ignorant, contempt but oblivious? Should we be left to the wanton destruction that life provides? Or should we let ourselves be caught up within life and letting it get to our heads? It is such a thought-provoking story, and you did an awesome job making this.
. It makes me think, and it shakes my feelings quite a lot, and I commend you for your ability to move your audience as such. One might look over this at a glance at first, think "Oh well, what a short story," but they will stop and take a second look, and they will go, "Wow! Who knew that such a short story could have such a big meaning!" That's how dramatic and powerful your piece is, cupofink - it draws you in from the moment you look at it and holds you close to itself throughout the piece, and latches onto you for a long time afterward.

Now, I do see one small thing that I notice as a little strange. Here, you say..."After few too many drinks." That seems a little strange. Are there few too many drinks, or way too many drinks, or are there just a few drinks altogether? I'm just curious, as the meaning of the sentence could go in several directions.
Nonetheless, cupofink, I'm deeply impressed with your story. It communicates such a large amount of meaning, is thoughtful, in-depth, and talks about one of the most important aspects of our existences ever, and the way you've executed this story is beautiful. Great job!
Wow! Thank you, I really wasn't expecting much feedback from this because it's quite short, so I really appreciate this review. I'm glad you understand this piece, it's quite hard to grasp if you're not in the mindset that I was when I wrote it. That sentence could confuse a lot of people, I meant it as having too many drinks, maybe it's a British thing but lots of people say that where I come from hahah, sorry for the confusion! Thank you very much for this review, it warmed my heart
