Tis’ the season of giving! ^v^

*This story is underneath my folder titled “Castiel and Absinthe”. Gacha Club character designs are under this forum: https://www.youngwriterssociety.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=116005&start=1005. Enjoy and Scary Creepmas!*

Absinthe waited patiently as the boy put the doll up on the register, watching as he put his coins on the table.

The man behind the register raised an eyebrow, then he said he shook his head and said:

“Not enough coins.”

Absinthe saw the boy’s eyes droop down, she watched him as he tried his best to heave the life-sized doll from the counter, and then-

She fished out the few birthday coins she had in her dress-sewn pocket, hoping that they would be enough.

“You’re paying for the doll as well?” The man asked in a tone slightly softer than before. Absinthe wasn’t sure if it was because he liked that she was helping out or if he was just eager to see another doll leave, but at that point, she didn’t care. She just wanted the boy to be able to take home the doll.

Absinthe nodded. The man counted her coins and the boy’s coins on the counter, and then he beamed kindly and said:

“The doll is all yours!”

The boy struggled to grab the doll, so Absinthe helped him grab it. Anyone carrying the doll would have a hard time with it due to its size.

And while Absinthe didn’t get anything for herself, at least she helped someone take home a doll.

A few more to go ^^ For Violet Victory!

Ah and it is another continuation of the previous one. Tell me again, why you didn’t make this all one release?

Oh I like this detail. Like you mentioned the coins in the first story and now they become relevant because she’s gonna use them to buy Castiel the doll. That’s nice foreshadowing… and it would have been better if it were all in one story. As it is, it’s very disjoined, sadly.

Remember the dialogue formatting. I am still disappointed.

Hi! great work! aw, absinthe has a sweet moment with a stranger out in town. She helps a little boy pay for the doll he wants but can't afford. I like the streak of sweetness in your work, as contrast to the usual darker stories, although I like them all a lot! one thing I wonder is how much the doll cost, as both the boy and absinthe seemed to be only guessing, and the shopkeeper didn't give them more than an "Enough\not enough". All in all, great story! Keep writing! happy holidays!

Probably around the hundreds. I think I should give a price next time.

Thx for reading!
