The race of winter faeries and sprites may be similar, but they are not the same. Both started out from the snow, at the time when humans used to believe in angels. From that time, they were born of magic.
But the faeries were less shy than the sprites. The faeries were seen sometimes by humans, which was why that terrible rumor that they ate human flesh circulated.
The sprites stayed away from most humans, understanding that if they were seen, their existence would not be taken very kindly.
But that was only the general ideas. Of course, there are always the dreamers on both sides. The ones that hope to make things better. Because eyes were opened with love, right?
Doesn’t love fix everything?

Hey, there! I love this little bit of lore and the way you seem to just use your imagination for these creatures. The way you make a distinction between the fairies and sprites makes this sound a little like some kind of encyclopedia of whimsical creatures or something. I like that.
I find myself wondering why you say the sprites assume the knowledge of their existence would not be taken very kindly. And other than that, there is not much description of them or what they're like. It seems to me that a little more description or exposition would be helpful.

I am a little confused. Do you mean snow angels like the little prints made by flapping around in the snow or something else. Are faeries like really small or are they human size? Are the sprites scary or something, why can the faeries be seen because they are not scary and the sprites are like ugly or something. I am unsure if this is like a start to a story or something, but I like it.
The sprites and faeries are humanoid looking. They both have sharp claws and teeth but it%u2019s more prominent in sprites than it is in faeries. By angels I mean the angels with wings, not snow angels.
