*This fanfic is underneath my folder titled “Lost Boys 1987 fanfics”. Gacha Club character designs are under this forum: https://www.youngwriterssociety.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=116005&start=1170. This is a fanfic of the 1987 vampire movie “Lost Boys”. It’s the perspective of the character “Starr”, whose perspective isn’t really present in the movie. I might continue this in the future, but idk yet. I don’t know if her name is spelled like “Star” or “Starr”, but I’m using “Starr” because it sounds cooler to me. Anyway, I hope you enjoy and Happy Valoween!*
He’s following me. It’s working. Guys have followed me before, but now that I’m a half-vampire, twice as many seem to be attracted to me.
Like that one boy in the leather jacket. He thinks that he’s so slick, stealing glances at me while I dance. I know that he’s looking. I know that it’s working.
I have hoped and prayed to God that it wouldn’t work, that me and Laddie would be free again. But why would we? Why would God listen to us? We’re not human anymore. We’re not worth it anymore.
And just like the other guys that have fallen victim to my looks, the boy has followed me to David. David tells me every night that I have to bring guys over for him to eat. He says “Starr, you’re good at it. It’s necessary.”
But something about tonight feels different. I’m holding onto David’s back, listening as he challenges the boy to a motorcycle race. I can see the hungry lust in the boy’s eyes, and it scares me. It reminds me of David and the others when they want to eat.
It’s not his fault, of course. He’s under the spell of vampires, and he doesn’t even know it. He only sees our surface, and he’s not even worried.
He gets on his motorcycle. David revs up his, and then, we’re off, the wind screaming in my ears, my hair strands blowing in my eyes.
Maybe I’m mistaken, but I think that David wants to turn the boy into one of us. I’ll pray again, and nothing will happen, but I’ll pray anyway, because I feel like that’s the only thing I can do at this point.
Unless I can do something else…

Hi FeverDreams, it’s been a while! Thought I’d check out more of your stuff.
I got excited when I saw this was a Lost Boys sort of excerpt. I love that movie! I think this was a super interesting sort of look into Starr’s character, really faithful to her character in the movie. You really nailed how she feels about David, and how she feels about luring victims to the vampires. I also love how you put so much focus on the atmosphere here, with the motorcycle race and the whipping wind. Really puts you in the moment. That line about being forsaken by God for being a half-vampire too, was very cool. I’m guessing the man she caught the eye of is Michael, but I like that you keep the name hidden, like rehashing the film from her perspective. Ending it on such an doubtful, foreshadowey line was also neat.
I don’t really have many complaints, I guess? Good job.
You are right, he is Michael.
I really like this movie too and wanted to focus more on her character. ^v^
Hi creeperfeverdreams!!
Hop here with a review! Although I'm not familiar with the movie Lost Boys, I'm still going to try my best TvT Let's jump right in! (PS, I review this as I'm reading!)
Okay, so the first line just immediately catches the reader's attention. Like, it just jumps straight into the plot and right into action! I really like that you started it that way because it just hooks the reader and makes them compelled to read more!
The narrator also mentions they are half vampire which is also cool beans because who doesn't love vampires? The way you phrase that they are attracted to the narrator does make me a little unsure if you mean they are attracted to the narrator like they think they look good or if you mean like the narrator is a sort of prey...
Okay, you mention a boy in a leather jacket and that is making me lean towards thinking the narrator is being looked at in a "romantic" way.
I did just go ahead and read the rest of it. This is definitely intriguing and does make me wonder who David is to the narrator. This was honestly fun to read! I might have to go and watch the movie.... Anyways, I really loved this and it truly was a fun story! Can't wait to read more!
Love,
