*This is a fanfic of a YouTube comic parody series called “One Wheat Mark”. One Wheat Mark is a parody of the Netflix show “Stranger Things”. One Wheat Mark has two main characters, Mike and Will, who are also in Stranger Things, except since this is a parody version, Mike and Will are completely different from their canon selves. One Wheat Mark only has their designs from season 2 of Stranger Things, so they are 14-15 years old. This is under my folder titled “One Wheat Mark fanfics” and this is my interpretation of how Mike feels about Will in One Wheat Mark. Gacha Club character designs are under this forum: https://www.youngwriterssociety.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=116005&start=1155. Enjoy and Happy Valoween!*

I don’t know what it is with you

Something about the way you cry

Something about how your fear is eating you alive

It gives me life

I’m not complete unless I’ve got you in a death grip

Life is so boring

Without seeing you bleed

I know you think I’m cruel

But don’t you see?

My heart is so dull

I need to make the world spin

Violence, chaos, it’s all for the win

And do you see it now?

My heart sparks

When I sink that knife into your skin

The purple bruises make your brown eyes shine

Or is it your tears?

There’s something else in your eyes

Something far away

Anger, perhaps?

Maybe rage?

No, it’s that mind monster

The one that puppeteers you

The one that gives you bad thoughts

It’s what makes those parasites crawl out of your weak body

It’s what makes you think you can fight me

And sometimes, in the depths of my mind

I think you’ll end it all

You’ll end all that we have

I can’t have that

In this burning apocalypse

We need each other

If you’re going to die

I’d like to be the one to end your life

But you know that you’ll be lost

Without me to break you down

So cling onto my hand

We’ll fight each other to the bitter end

We’ll stay so close, oh so close, we’d almost be friends

At the end of the world, at the end of the day

You’re all I want to torture

And I wouldn’t have it any other way! :D

Hm it might be helpful if the link in the story linked to the actual specific post about your characters for this story and not just the general thread. I couldn’t find the designs for these characters ☹

I like the break with tradition on how these things usually go with “It gives me life”. Ohh I agree with Noah, that truly is a toxic relationship! (Although I have not done my homework…)

First thought when reading “my heart is dull”: hmm does violence really sharpen that? I wonder what kinda emotion would be the equivalent of a sharpening knife to actually bring new life to this person…

So far I rly liked each line not only as part of the cohesive whole but also as individual pieces. Which is why this one feels so weak and out-of-place: “The one that gives you bad thoughts“ It doesn’t hit the same way…

Oh I find this line particularly interesting coz it implies that not only is this relationship toxic but also the world around them: “In this burning apocalypse” yet the speaker doesn’t use the apocalypse as any justification for their behaviour!

For this I looked into what One Wheat Mark is so I could get a little more of a hold on this. I guess it's a crackpot story with highly exaggerated versions of the stranger things characters from season 2. Do they kill furries?

I think what is being described here is a toxic relationship between a screwed up version of Mike towards Will, who remains somewhat docile as he is in the real stranger things. There is a lot of toxic relationship vibes here that really drill in the idea that he is taking advantage of Will's flaws and spinning it into some sort of tainted love.

"Without me to break you down" feels like its referring to how Will is attached to his friends, and if he were to seperate himself from them, he'd be eaten alive by the corruption that is the mind flayer/vecna. Maybe it would've been better if that was how season 5 went...

Either way without the connections of Stranger Things, I think this is a well-written poem exploring themes of toxic relationships but to an even more messed up degree. I dunno if I can even call this an exploration of toxic relationships because it's borderline torture! Either way, I think the poem is written pretty well!

Thx for reading and yes, One Wheat Mark makes no sense.
