*This is a little fanfic snippet thing based off the 1976 movie “Carrie”. (It’s also a Stephen King novel. The novel got turned into a movie). Gacha club character designs are under my forum titled “My character designs<33[2]”. This is under my folder “Carrie (1976) fanfics”. This is a happier ending I came up with for Carrie because I felt bad for her in the original story. The book and movie are horror, so read/watch with caution. Anyway, enjoy!*
Carrie looked back at The House. Any minute, it would crumble into nothingness and take Momma with it. She felt in her veins, just as she felt The Power surging in her.
There was no time to look back anymore. She had to run.
Carrie ran as fast as she could, away from town, from The House, from everything.
She needed to leave. She needed a new life.

I always wanted to watch that movie and never got around to it...
I really like that you took it upon yourself to give Carrie a better ending. She had magical/telekinetic powers, right? I really like how the snippet here forcuses on her getting away from an awful life instead of doing something drastic. It's short and sweet. Wish her the best of luck!
Yes, those were her powers. And the movie is pretty upsetting, so be careful when you watch it (if you watch it).
But glad you enjoyed!
this reminds me of 2002
Ooh that%u2019s cool! I only saw the 70%u2019s movie but I think I%u2019ll look into the 2000s one!

Hmmm... I get that her dying is sad, but also, I'm not certain if this particular ending is a happy ending either, just because it is so open-ended. After all, seriously... how is she supposed to run away from everything at the end of the movie when everything is drenched in blood? So even though she runs away instead of dying on screen, there's almost an assumption that she's cornered and ultimately she can't run away.

If you wanted to make it a happier ending, you would use this as the beginning of the climatic scene and adjust it so that you see her running away and tilt it to show that she actually escapes. Maybe she meets someone who agrees to take her in and care for her... and whoever takes her in actually seems genuinely nice. Or maybe she runs away to an abandoned cabin deep in the woods and makes her home there. Or maybe she pulls a Don Draper and assumes a different identity and goes into ad writing, lol. So there's a bunch of ways to do this if you want to make it a happier ending.
Hope that gives you some ideas!
Hi, I've read the book Carrie (but I haven't seen the movie). Before I say anything about the writing itself, I just want to give my thoughts on the original ending of Carrie. I think her death, while maybe sad, was needed to convey the message King was aiming to convey. The whole story, while having many levels of meaning, can be interpreted as a message against bullying, and her rage causes her death. It shows a tragedy, and I think that's the point.
On this version, I think you continue the story. You could keep the same weight depending on where you take it. It should be really interesting, and I would love to see it!
Thx. I still have to think of what I want to do with this, but thank you for the comment.
And I do think that the original ending was needed, I%u2019m just sad as a fan. :<
