So Collapses My Soul

I am rotting
From the inside outwards.
In my core I can feel this pain.

The pain of mold,
Rot, and fuzz covering me.
I am rotting outwards from my heart.

And I am collapsing,
Falling to pieces, here in my steps.
My life falls apart as my shelter collapses around me.

For so long I lasted,
But all things must end, now
Or later, all things draw to a close, the horrid end.

My hiding place
I have destroyed by constant wear.
If only I had shared this burden of mine.

For now it’s too late,
And I am collapsing inside.
I am rotting outwards from my heart.

I know history. There are many names in history, but none of them are ours.
