This is for a contest by Vernon, personifying a bed. I thought I'd give it a shot ;]. Tell me what you think.
Hush, baby, hush, my bedsprings whisper.
Hush, baby, hush, they mimic a mother.
I'll always love you, my sheets sing in the wind.
I'll always love you, humans whisper lies before sin.
Get the hell out, it screams on my bed post.
Get the hell out, he's not the one you thought you chose.
Please stop this pain, the pillows sigh under the pressure.
Please stop this pain, your heart has a fissure.
I was the one
who moaned when you moaned,
who sighed when you sighed,
who comforted when you needed comfort.
And yet
I'm being thrown out tomorrow,
for a bigger replacement,
for one that holds less memory.
Why?
I know it happens
all the time,
but I was hoping I would be the exception.
Please, don't.
I have memories like you do,
I feel like you do,
I loved what you loved,
and left what you left.
I have a heart,
a life.
You'll never know this though,
because
I
have
no
mouth.

Wow. This is nice. I've never really thought about the personification of a bed. The format and grammar is perfect, in my eyes, so let's talk a tiny bit about the idea:
I really liked it. I especially liked the fact that you weren't afraid to add what all happened in bed. I have a feeling many authors will speak mostly of sleeping, not the other topics. Very nice.
