A poem I wrote after my family's dog of 15 years died.
Why do people sigh as they pass you by?
You only just wonder why.
Why do they cry? Why do they weep?
Curiosity is enough to get you off of your feet.
Struggling down that once easy step,
You sink to the ground to eternally rest.
As the light goes dark
You make your last mark
Along life's ocean rich sand,
Till you come at last to the promised land.
To tired to sleep, to tired to rest,
You've cuddled away in the great binds of death.

My 13-year-old cousin loved it and so did I. Congratulations.

First! Hey Clocerbreath! I see you're kinda new. I'd like to welcome you to YWS. Also, second, if this is a poem then it shouldn't be in lyrics. But in one of the poem catagories. Ask an admin or mod to move it if you want to. Now onto the reviewing.
I forgot to check if this was your first thing. If it is then it's pretty good. The flow is nice. I just found a few errors. I hope I was helpful to you
