Hi cherie! LadyM Here with a review. Now bear in mind I don't write poetry, so all i can really offer is how I interpreted it and such.
My first impression of this was how sweet and cute it was! It feels like a description of true love. I like how it leans into the "opposites attack" thing. with one person liking winter and the other preferring summer.
Which then ties into how the "main character" In this is characterized like winter, with the character who likes summer warming them up. They're like winter and therefore they like you.
"you hold my red fingers in your pockets
you kiss my slightly sniffling nose, you glee
when my leg rests against yours"
Their still opposites, but due to that they balance each other out, help each other, hold each other warm or cool each other!
"even when my tongue shoots daggers
to your heart, even when my shoulder stiffens
away with pride, even when I cry with the river"
Overall its a super sweet poem, it reminds me of a cute romcom when I read it. I tend to picture cinematic pictures in my head when I read, so that could just be a me thing.
See you in the next one!

Hello!
This is a really nice text. I like the way you structured it '3-lined paragraph, line, 3-lined paragraph, line, 3-lined paragraph, line'. It's kind of like the skeleton, or the skeletal system, of your text! (If you know what I mean...?) Nice
This is overall just a great text: it's well understandable and clear, while still being full of meaning and feelings. The theme is a good one: how the protagonist (you maybe or not) has different preferences than this other person, but he/she (loves?) that other person all the same - it doesn't clearly state 'I love you' but the fact that you write "When you were JUST a barista" "You kiss" and "you glee when my leg rests against yours" - it could be that this person is maybe a sibling or parent, but to me it feels like they're in love, so... yeah
One thing I would improve: for the title, you put "I take my lattes warm you take yours iced" - it's a good title and it has connections with the story - but I was a bit disappointed not to find it again in the text, and it felt kind of strange. So maybe pick a different title or put that line in the text? I know the second option contradicts with what I said at the beginning about the structure, but I don't have any other suggestions. Just do it how you feel it, you're the author! ^^
I like the irony of how the protagonist doesn't really like cold and winter much, but seems to have a cold, lol XD
Other than this I don't really have any more comments or suggestions to make, except that this is a really good text I guess!
So thanks for sharing this on YWS, keep writing (always keep writing - and have fun while writing) and have a wonderful day!

Weaving tales with poetry that invoke such endearing imagery is always impressive. Another great romance poem, cherie! Loved the contrast and the end where the boundaries melt despite the obvious differences. Such a treat <3
thank you, Alex! that's so kind <3
