Star light, star bright. The first star I see tonight.
I wish I may, I wish I might, have this wish, I wish tonight.
Dear star,
Once again I have found you. With your magical beautiful powers, that most of us don't see.
Tonight though, I am not going to wish for what I normally wish for... true love.
Because I have found, that it doesn't exist. or maybe it does for some people, just not me.
Or maybe it is happening, but I have to wait for it to come along.
Or maybe I just can't see it, because I am so blind to things like this.
Or maybe, it is right in front of me, I just don't know it.
Maybe its a lot of things.
It could be someone totally random, who I don't know.
Maybe, its that harry guy that I saw on the beach last summer who was checking me out.
Maybe, its a previous boyfriend.
maybe, its the person who has asked me out almost everyday since sixth grade,
or the other one who just recently started asking me out.
Maybe it is the one that I like, but is just so mean, yet hot, that I really can't like him, but I do.
True love doesn't seem to exist, but you say it is out there.
Maybe, I have to go to Paris, of Greece, or some outrageous place to find it.
I know I will find it someday, but I can't help wish it was certain people.
And then, maybe you sent the person to me already, I just don't know it.
Maybe you sent someone, but there is problems with him, that you don't know of.
Maybe, you sent the guy on my bus, who keeps asking me out.
Maybe he is perfect.
See but star, his friends just aren't making it possible for it to be him.
Or maybe it is the other guy on my bus, who I do like.
Mabye he is my Prince Charming.
See but star, he is hot, but is to mean. He doesn't seem to have a heart, but if he does, doesn't show it to me.
Maybe it is the other guy, who will NOT stop asking me out.
Star, if you sent him, then OMG.
Not to be mean, but I don't like him. Sorry guy, if you are reading this. You know its true though.
So anyway, I am going to wish for 1 thing tonight.
No, not a pony, or a giant Lolli-pop.
(To childish)
No, not a 2000$ shopping spree to Hollister.
(to expensive.)
Just, one simple thing.
Star, please oh please, let things stay the same as they are.
There, I said it. My one simple wish.
leave everything, exactly.
Let me work out my own problems, be the judge of them.
Let me get in trouble, but then out of it by myself.
Because some things, are meant to be laughed at.
Some, are meant to be cried at.
They don't need to change, no matter what you say.
(sorry)
The rest, while I hate it, then love it, is just perfect.
Love, your star wisher

Rereading Comments On This Poem And Thinking To Myself...
I Wrote This 2 Years Ago And Didnt Get Back On Till Today.
Rereading This Poem I Thought It Was Terrible...
But THANK YOU To The People Who Reveiwed It,
And Left Such Amazing Comments That Changed My Mind!
Love You Guys <3
You interact with 1,000 of the 6 billion people in the world. It takes a millisecond to find your soul mate... for instance by chance and person like myself (mind this is a situation i'm creating) posted on this poem and you found out you and the commenter had a lot in common, you meet sometime and suddenly you live together forever because it's amazing what happens in life... So you my friend maybe are looking to hard? or not at all? or it's just not the right time? Just remember to turn around every once and a while you never know if your soul mate is there. That's my personal advice (not to bad for a guy with a frozen heart, eh?) ... and as for the write? IT'S FANTASTIC!!!!!
This was beautiful. I adored your beginning!
I agree with 322sivart on punctuation, so I will not repeat the corrections.
Very nice.I like to leave myself think and wonder, about anything, just like you did here.
Wow so beautiful, and very true. I enjoyed this poem very much I love it when writers post unorganized pieces that are long but still interesting. Great work on this the only comment I have is that the part about the guy who always asks her out is a bit redundent or at least that's how it felt to me. Other than that I thought it was very interesting and meaningful, it could definitly stand alone by showing some true things about love.
Peace,
Snickerdooly
I really like this. I'm a fan of this unorganized formal, and sometimes I write poetry like this. Just some nit-picks
I love this poem. Keep up the great work!
